John VanderZwet - A glimpse of Dawn (Apr. 19th)

John VanderZwet (Paratus), Programmer/UI

Hey there!

I’m John, Star Vault’s UI guy and web developer, although most of you know me as Paratus. Your new community manager, Black Opal, has been cracking the whip so we’re getting these developer blogs back on track.

Erik's hijacked blog entry

Mats Persson, Creative Director

Mats here. Erik was supposed to write this entry, however he's been ill for the last couple of days so I'll simply hijack it. He had prepared for the blog by sending me a couple of his creature models which I cut together into a small show reel. And although he’s not here now, I’ll publish it anyway to be able to show you a few pieces of his work.

Denny Lindberg - A potpourri of Tasks (Jan. 15th)

Denny Lindberg, Technical Artist

For those who don't know who I am, I'm the Animator / Technical Artist at StarVault. I'm the halfbreed acting as a link between the programmer and artist team. I was initially hired to work as an animator/rigger, but as time went by my curious side couldn't stay away from other tasks in the office. Well, it wasn't just my curious side to be honest, at StarVault we've always been a really limited team so we've had to split up tasks between employees.

Nothing quiet on the western front... (Jan. 7th)

Henrik Sonesson, Game Programmer

Sup!

Best programmer ever here, reporting in about current events at hom... ehh the office. First of all it's mildly hazardous to even get here due the temperature outside which classifies as "Frickin cold!".

When I get here its extremely hazardous to sit at my desk due to the ever increasing mountain of trash I have a tendency to pile up. Once seated I also have to endure the mental danger of sitting near people like Sebastian or Emil.

Daniel Adler - Up close and personal (Dec. 18th)

Daniel Adler, Game Programmer

Goood moooooorning Mortals! Daniel here, User Interface programmer by title but like everyone else doing work where it’s most needed. No idea what the community really wants these blogs to contain but today ill present you...dun dun dun.. Myself!! =)

So who is Daniel? What does Daniel do on the dev team? Whats up with Daniels irc nick Silverfisk? The questions are few and the answers are many. If you want to know more, read on.

awsome-sauce and butterflies (Dec. 16th)

Wiktor Oehman, Game Artist

Hey hey! It's me again, your dear 3D Artist friend, Wiktor. First of all I'd like to say it was so awesome seeing you guys speculate and analyse the photo I posted that I decided to give you all something new to analyse. Aren't I the sweetest? Anyway.

Henrik Ekholm - I have recorded this plastic bag... (Dec. 10th)

Henrik Ekholm, Sound Designer

I've been focused on and have been experimenting alot with ambiances lately, some old fasion stuff with birds and wind but also some avant-garde recordings.

Wiktor - Raving rabbits (Dec. 3rd)

Wiktor Oehman Game Artist

Taking a few minutes off to write an entry. Things are really speeding up here. People are working like raving rabbits, and a lot of stuff is happening! A ton of new stuff is being added, bugs are being fixed and adjustments are being made.

Emil - a day at the office (Nov. 25th)

Emil Jones Game Programmer

Wednesday, and the weekend is approaching fast. We're patching next week and I have one feature that needs to be completed and tested. Can't wait to see if Fabernum turns into a thiefs nest ;)

Henrik Nystrom - Patch night (Nov. 16th)

Henrik Nyström
CEO

As you all know we pride ourselves on a very close contact to you, the community. So in order to show you a bit more of how we do things here at Star Vault, we set up this blog which we will use to give you a little more insight into the development of Mortal Online and life here at the office.
