I am looking for a guild preferably located on the East Coast or in Canada. I am a fan of both FPS games and RPGs (like Baldurs, NWN,... - not MMORPG) and I prefer to get together with those who have play DAoC, GW and hate WoW.

Looking to join up in a guild, Im a huge fan of MMORPG's yet have only ever played FF11 for like 5 years. I prefer a smaller group of 18-20 members, Canadian would be nice but mountain time would be better :P Not sure how this game will pan out but I like the idea of relying on skill rather than levels.

I know what you're talking about, at least I want to see someone playing and actually play with him for a period of time, before getting him in the guild/clan.
"Written" application should be taken only if there is no other way, like there is no way to play the game atm.

I would rather know someone for a year, then, play the game with them. Most our members play with each other in other games and get to know each other on the forums, just like they would in Mortal or Darkfall. Making a guild pre-release has absolutely no down fall what so ever.. We just do that, "getting to know eachother," bullshit before release so we can really focus on other, more important things when release comes.

Joining a pre-release guild also shows the dedication of members, specially creating one this early, any member that makes it to release is a valued member.

Btw, most, "multi-gaming clans," use written forms of applications, with or without seeing the member ingame or not... This is essencially the point of a Squire/initiate rank, is it not?

Agreed with Shawk on this one. Getting to know people before you head out into the wilderness with them, I know this sounds ridicolous; but I feel like I can trust someone to guard my back(this is a 1st person game, after all), if I know about them. Usually, when I see forum users that follow the game(haven't been that long since announcement, but all of King's Dragons will follow the game 'till it's live, I know that), I am also more sure about their skill as a player.

Most people who arrive here, are people with usually a long MMO-career, and are most likely to be good players, game-wise.

No we don't really disagree there. I just meant for people you don't know, I would like to see them play first and how they behave and act in the world.

Of course I would like to know the person better, and I'd prefer people I know for a long time in the guild, joining the community of the guild aka joining up in the forum and talking about stuff pretty much helps with that and it's crucial for pre-release guilds.

And that's what I mean, maybe I wrote it the wrong way. I won't accept people by just posting an application I would want to see them act first, in the community and in the game. Through gaming with him for a while and maybe having him in Voice Chat in addition you get to know him better than you would through a few forum posts etc..

Hello there im from the UK and looking now for a pure 100% RP guild to devote myself to

The guild would have to be european so we are on the same time scale, and so i wouldnt miss any good events!

Bit about myself:
Live in the UK with my fiancee and 5 month old daughter. Im 31 years old and have been playing D&D since i was 10 :O Never stopped playing it and still play twice a week

Im always up for a laugh and get on with everyone who's not an arse

Im an engineer at work, and in my spare time i like to online game, play D&D, Airsoft and write.

Pointers:

1: Been roleplaying for 21 years, with D&D, mage etc etc
2: Am a family man so want to feel welcome if and when i can play
(Which is a fair bit)
3: Always like to keep IC
4: Devoted to building a RP community
5: Commited to building a guild village/town/city
6: Looking for friends
7: Experience in running guilds and servers so always available for help and advise if needed

8: Looking for an experienced outfit, with the people running it not fresh out of school

1: Sorry not interested in joining a guild who RP some times
2: Dont like OOC talk
3: Would prefer an age limit but there are some good youngsters out there that can roleplay so am easy on this one

Jade, why do you have to be from the UK? You're exactly the type of person I would love to have to roleplay with. Well, I can't help you in looking for a European guild, but if you decide to widen your search to North American based guilds too, then give me a jingle via PM.

Well Im not sure this kind of guild exists here yet but might aswell make this post..

Ive been playing MMO's since Ultima Online.. Im looking for a guild thats going to be focusing on mostly pvp with pve on the side aswell going for those legendary one time dragons. I have no interest in RP guilds. Its not my thing.

Im a very competitive gamer by nature, its just my personality. Im competitive in sports, in my job and in video games aswell so im looking for this guild to strive to be the best not just "be friends and have fun"

Dont get me wrong im not that elitist type, im an easy going guy with a competitive edge that doenst like to lose.

Shawk i would so join The King's Dragons if you let me, PvP is what i LOVE to do, i also respect other guild members and even if i dont stand a chance against an enemy attacking our guild member I would help out the INSTANT I saw a guildy being attacked.

Also, crafting, as long as guild members help to obtain items I dont charge for making them items/equipment even if they insist

MO, like i've said since i've joined the forums not long after they came up, is kinda've like "The Elder Scrolls VI: Oblivion" in almost every feature and im DANG good at that game so u cna say i have some experience killing ALL living things in the game.... even like 20 guards at once

(its not a MMO sadly, but i no what to do and how to do it if MO is the same way) :P :P :P
