I agree with that critics. Muscles, proportions, extremities (feet!) - these lack a bit. Same applies for architectural elements (basic rules of physics, construction). I like light and texture as well: 'easy' done, not too detailed, rather using 1 stroke instead of 2. All in all maybe a bit dark, would be interested to see something brighter (like to see how you gonna highlight stuff in way brighter environments). Also i'd really like to see more sketches or maybe some work-in-progress- pictures. Good work |

Ya they do look kinda weird ! I didn't have good references for the "slashy hands", so i kinda made it up but they don't look as massive and deadly than in the game. Oh well.
Thanks for the comments, Alanthera. I've actually started to take anatomy classes again, which helps a lot

Sorry, haven't posted in a while. Convention stuff is coming up nicely, sadly it's composed mostly by fan arts so i'm not going to show them as it's quite unpersonal :/
I can show you this thing i made to troll the public though ![]()

Holy shit new stuff
![]() Okay, so this was kinda a trial to do something with a clear blue sky. It didn't turned out bad but FUCK I HATE DRAWING CLOUDS FFS (seriously, making GOOD realistic clouds is a pain when you don't have a reference) EDIT: This is kinda a wip (fucking clouds), i'll post an update a bit later

Also, as requested, here are two stuff i made for the convention (vincent valentine & kamina from gurren lagann). I liked their designs so it was cool to make, at least, even though if I had to deal with the screeching fangirls afterwards.

Well he's holding his gun so you see the top of it actually, if that's what's bothering you ^^; other than that well yeah they were all quick works so I was too lazy to work on them fully, my bad :/

Also, my website s'been updated. If you want to check all my work without having to scroll, i recommend to go visit it.
ALSO, other notes, I DO take commissions. Thing is, they're not free, at least not totally. I won't necessarily charge you for money; I don't make a living from my drawings, though I kinda would like to start doing some professional work for others, that means also setting some small standards (anyway, i do not ask for much. And if it's just for a sig for example, it'll be close to nothing). So we can either discuss a small price (depending on what you're asking), or some other kind of arrangement (nohomo)

The dragon also contrasts with the roof, however that could have been intentional.

Thanks a bunch.
I think i'm gonna stop posting there though, because so far i'm just spamming my stuff and it ain't that much interesting anymore, as the point was getting people interested and look at the website, etc...now I just feel i'm pushing it =p so I'll leave this stuff to die a bit, and maybe pop it up for some interesting announcement (like if my work appears somewhere). Anyway, thanks for the support, glad you liked my stuff all of you

Yeah, i coded the website to make it quite light. It's not perfect but at least, everybody can browse it smoothly without kind of flash bullshit.
Also, the magic of image optimisations for the web, something that NOBODY does :/

the problem i think with just starting out in concept art is that you should be giving each sketch less attention (coloring each one to completion isnt necessary for just a sketch) and instead pumping out more work so that you gain experience with proportions and architecture and such
also it might look cleaner if you left less evidence of your original lines |
