This is saved as a jpeg and too big to fit the 9.8kb limit as it is around 20kb...

This version is 'saved for web and design' with the quality slider rolled down to 25 so it ends up at 9.74KB to fit under the 9.8kb limit

Helpful note for those making sigs for this forum:

The background color is #111111. Use this so you dont have to use transparency, as transparent image generally exceed the 25kb size limit, and you can put them in .jpg form.

Thats how I make mine, as I think rectangular looking sigs dont look as nice as ones that blend with the background.
