![]() The Erden Tribe presents to you.... M.O.T.O. - the unofficial Mortal Online Tournament Organization. [suggestions are welcome for improvement] Tournament system description ---------------------------------- Grand Council
Red = Unavailable /or/ invite-only /or/ full Blue = A part-time job [since there is no color-code, this will only have affect on MOTO forums] ---------------------------------- Tournament cheaters MUST pay a penalty fee for their crimes. Failure to do so will result in being constantly hunted until executed and looted. MOTO may or may not take responsibility for the looting of your corpse; so I recommend not cheating in the first place. Trials may be held on the forums, the accused cheater may plea not-guilty; the judges will then decide your fate, provided you give a good explanation, proof or non-guild witnesses. Each job has a private forum specifically for the section they classify for. If you are not invited to join a specific position, then your application will decide which position you qualify for, regardless of which position you are applying for. Keep in mind that you wont be the ‘only’ to apply for a specific position. This is based on 1 server. When a new server is released, MOTO will start on that new server as well (when we are ready). The job positions will be empty for that new server; a new ‘chapter’ will be started. The original administrators are the only ones with global abilities. The rest who work for MOTO must stick to their assigned server. It would be much too difficult and time-consuming to have otherwise. Prior to the official release of Mortal Online; there will be a gathering of all the MOTO administrators to help write a MOTO Constitution stating all laws, rules, penalties and rewards. For now, the basics are being laid out to get a better feel of how MOTO will function in Mortal Online. Though M.O.T.O. is hosted by the Erden Tribe - anyone of any tribe can apply for a job. We are mainly looking for GUILD LEADERS to take part in the M.O.T.O. administration, to give it more of an authentic feel as an idea and hopefully in-game as well.... rather than 1 tribe being in full control. (if that makes any sense, if not just ask) There are 3 Tournaments in total. Each Tournament has 2 events. In order to win a Tournament, you must win both events. There will be a reward for those who win an Event, there will be a greater reward for those who win Tournaments, and there will be an even greater reward for those who win all 3 tournaments. Tournaments will most likely take place every 3-4 weeks due to it being long and detailed. There is going to be an in-game-fee requirement for participants. The fee is ment to keep the organization running. Without any profit we can not balance our own characters survival and attempt to hold up MOTO at the same time. MOTO Staff will take a certain percentage out of the collected fees and put the rest into the winning prize. As the economy increases over time, so will the fee. The fee will be reasonable, and the prizes will make it worthy. MOTO is a hiring business; if there is no profit then there is no MOTO - keep in mind that we need to be able to pay those who work for us as their survival (or success) depends on a steady grown of income as well. Tournaments and events Horse-Racing Tournament There will be a starting line and a finishing line as well as which routes to take and which routes are blocked. Blocked routes will be guarded. There will be a map given out, to those who sign up, of the routes being used in the tournament. After the tournaments are over, when the tournaments start next time, maps will change as well as routes; this is to keep it interesting and expand racing to all locations, giving everyone a chance to participate. Free-For-All Event ![]() FFA contains multiple horse riders. Currently we have yet to decide a limit, so for now there is no limit as to who can participate. Multiple horses start on the same line (maybe organized a bit better, we'll see) - there will be a countdown. There should be NO cheating of any kind, you will be watched and possibly executed if caught. Dueling Event ![]() Dueling is a 1 on 1 event. One rider, racing another. The first to cross the finish line wins. Simple as that. Duels are separated into multiple rounds, until there is only 1 rider left undefeated. Example of the event plot: ![]() Melee-Combat Tournament The Melee combat tournament will be focused on ... melee. Unlike the Horse-Racing tournament, since MO is a full-loot game, I wouldn’t recommend using your best equipment. Im almost positive though, when the time comes, we'll have certain restrictions on what armor/weapons you can/cant use. Quite possibly, when we get enough money for the organization, we will let you rent armor/weapons so that everyone has a very similar if not exact selection of armor/weapons. This will make sure the winner is based on combat skill and experience, and not on advanced armor or weapon superiority. Deathmatch Event ![]() Same concept as the horse-race FFA event, only without horses and with bashing involved. Last man standing is the winner. Only 1 round. Comparable to a “Royal Rumble” without the time limit. There will be strict rules on the Deathmatch event. Deathmatch, like the Dueling event, may have a specific armor/weapon requirement to make sure everyone is evenly matched on the battlefield. Guild teamwork is strictly forbidden, any sign of guild teamwork will have your entire guild disqualified for the tournament you are participating in. The object of Deathmatch is to bash anyone & everyone in sight. Dueling Event ![]() Same concept as the Horserace dueling event. You will have 1 warrior fighting it out with another. Duels will be separated into multiple rounds. The one to remain undefeated wins. Same example as the Horserace duel. Mounted-Combat Tournament Same concept as fighting on foot, you will need a specific weapons/armor set and possibly horses, to balance everyone out – winners are based on what skill they possess not what fancy equipment they managed to find. Horse Archery Event ![]() Horse archery will be an important event in the mounted-combat tournament. Archery in MO will most likely be the hardest thing to master, making only the very talented or experienced able to win this tournament event. For now, there are no limits as to how many people are allowed on the battlefield in the Horse Archery Event. The idea is to make it much like the “Deathmatch” event of Melee-combat, only with horses and bows. Last man standing wins. Jousting Event ![]() Yes, we will be having a Jousting event as well. For those who don’t know, it will be a duel. Not yet sure which armor would be preferable when Jousting in MO – so for now ill explain the basics: each horsemen will have a long spear/lance (or whatever is necessary), the first to get knocked off their horse loses. If it’s somehow a tie, the round will be restarted for your second attempt. MOTO will not launch in the early stages of the Beta – it would be much too difficult, and there is going to be so much else to do! MOTO will test the tournaments out later in the beta when the majority of the beta-testers get familiar with the game and are ready. We will “officially” launch when the game is released. But, like the early beta, we will only start when we have enough in-game currency to hire people and to give out rewards to tournament winners. Ideas and suggestions or corrections are welcomed! If you’re interested in being hired by MOTO, apply at our new forums ->HERE<- -Important- *Those who work for MOTO are not allowed to participate in the tournaments. *The beta has yet to be released; therefore major changes may take place once we get a better feel of the game. the winner wont be unfairly chosen, they'll be watched by others. so maybe we'll have a voting system as well, for those who qualify. |

That's why im trying to launch it before the beta (the forums & idea), so by the time MO is officially released we will already have a steady growth of interest; making it easier to recruit others who are willing to contribute their time in helping MOTO succeed. im in the process of developing a new MOTO ranking system. It'll include various jobs and more organization. Last edited by Genghis Khan : 4th June 2009 at 20:06. |

Variance is prepared to supply as much support as needed and then some to get this great initiative off of the ground and make it into an important part of the Mortal Online community.
I look forward to more information.

well the MOTO forums are messed up somehow, i cant post even being ranked as an administrator.... i could before, so idk what i changed but it doesnt matter im re-configuring user groups anyway. so the MOTO forums will be down for a bit until ive finished.
however, i have finished the new ranking/job system as well as added a few more standards, if you have any ideas to improve feel free to add ---------------------------------- Grand Council
Red = Unavailable /or/ invite-only /or/ full Blue = A part-time job [since there is no color-code, this will only have affect on MOTO forums] ---------------------------------- Tournament cheaters MUST pay a penalty fee for their crimes. every decision will be based on a vote. To decide the winner of an event there will be voting involved, as well as screenshots and possibly FRAPs (or any other game-recording program) and update- working on teh forums. the new style that was used on the forums wouldnt allow a user to post. so we're temporarily sticking with the original phpBB3 template. working on user groups and privileges right now. |

thanks
updates ---- entire Teutonic Order guild - Guards Ink - Head of Security Adrala - Administration Dakaal - Judge Keltic - Judge Trystram - Arbitrator Claw - (position yet to be confirmed) it is being discussed if Guards should have an assigned uniform during events (specific armor/weapons and colors) and since there's a LOT of guards now, im going to lock that position, so we might as well use the Teutonic Order's color for Guards =p Last edited by Genghis Khan : 8th June 2009 at 04:40. |

It's a delight to see such an organized project appear, wish you best of luck with it guys
By the way, didn't you just write Adrana instead of Adrala again? You really need some rest, you deserve it!
