I think humanoid creatures should be fully lootable, maybe stuff that was damaged too heavy within the battle ain't.
You can decide yourself if you want to take the full armor of this orc or only the impressive helmet. At start if you manage to kill one with almost nothing as weapon and armor it could be improving as hell. |

Humanoid NPCs should increase their skills as Players do, they should loot corpses as Players do (for use, money, or crafting).
Beasts should increase logical skills (bite, claw, dodge, lunge, etc) and perhaps loot your food from your corpse (rations and the like).

I think it would make things very very very hard. I know that in Vanguard you could leave all your stuff at the bottom of a dungeon if you died. If you had a hard time fighting your way in WITH your armor, you couldn't really hope to fight your way down without it to get your stuff. If mobs can loot you it is about the same idea. It really doesnt matter in a game where you'll get killed by other players and looted anyway, but it would encourage me to stay out in the newbie yard a little longer before moving on.
