Hey Mr Community, put a record on!
I wanna dance with my fanbase!

Time for a community wide project!

We want you, the community, users and guilds alike, to start create some music. Dedicate it to the game of MO and have it be about the game, the community or the guys over at Star Vault. Be creative, either make a totally new track with music or take a famous or less famous one and turn it into a cover with new lyrics.

This will be a sort of competition in the long run, but first and mainly for the fun of it. We over at MO-Radio will later on put the tracks we think are the best ones together into a cd, when we have received enough music. The CD will be something you will be able to download for free when we release it. After this stage we will also put the tracks from the CD up for a vote, where the community gets to vote on the track they think is the best one. And then the one with the most votes will win a prize which we will announce at a later time.

So this is how you do it! The rules, guidelines, requirements and so on will be these:

1. Must be about Mortal Online
2. Minimum 1:30 min in length
3. Profanity allowed, but don't go overboard.
4. Does not have to be an original piece of work, you can remake or remix.
5. The tracks you send in to be used in this project are not allowed to be published before the CD is out. We choose when the CD and the tracks are to be made public, and some of the tracks might be previewed by listening to the radio.


And btw, did you notice we got a merchandise shop opened now?

We want to get good and fun stuff to print, all from great text slogans to great images. If your good try send us them both in a vector format and .png. Right now we will use .png mostly, but are looking into moving over to vector based prints also. But at the moment the amount of vector based prints we can use are limited, thats why we need to pick only the best ones!

We want stuff for MO Radio, funny quotes for the SV guys (The Emil>Sebastian was requested by Emil ), and of course Morado prints! If your guild also wants to be able to buy a shirt with a print related to your guild or organization, you can send us those also, we make them available.

Just wanted to throw this out there:

Thank you, Scream112, for sticking with us during the 6+ hours while waiting for pre-orders. It was great entertainment for hundreds of us, as our eyeballs bled watching IRC.

For those who weren't listening in, Scream112 stuck with us for several hours, live on-the-air, and way past the time he planned to sleep. A true hero to the community.

You need to play music, talk to the listeners or do interviews, not talk to each other or talk out loud what you type in chat. Also, being a host you should be neutral, not talk about your personal opinions all the time.

Tonights event concerned community and the future of forums therefore they were discussed, and he is player and part of community first of all, not just a host.

I agree with that, even if there is no opinion of the other side, someone HAS to become the devil's advocate and play for the concerns or the viewpoint of the other side. There are always two stories and to get delusional and believe that there is only one correct side is completely wrong. The show did nothing but promote conflict between the community and the moderators while moving us as a whole NOWHERE NEAR a resolution point.

Not really. It's not like ever-lasting hate or anything. I'm sure mo-radio will evolve along MO, and when it gets better I'll listen again (or Henrik is on)..

they were trying to cover topics they felt were important to the community, me being one of them lol

I agree that I have been over moderating, i was only trying to prove that I could do the job, I have spoken with the mods and I promise I will change as a mod and lighten up with everyone

there is no need to vote to remove me from being a moderator, I just wan't to help out the community and hopefully get to know you all

I have spoken to some of the radio cast and we have apologised to each other, there arent any grudges between us and hopefully we can all just move on

I hope this has cleared up a few things for everyone

One thing i did that i even i will admit to is that i left the radio on. That is my fault, and i admit to it. For this i mean if it means me being removed from DJ position ok. If it means i have to suffer any punishment ok.

My other mistake was to respond to St. Judas, when he first came into the MO-Radio IRC thread. I should not have done that and i should immaturity in responding to him.

However, i will not take back my what i said, because i feel i said nothing wrong. There is a difference between petty foolish stupid, and right and wrong. You may think what i did was petty foolish or stupid, but was what i did wrong that all that i ask you. If i was wrong then whatever i'll take all the blame for it. If i was right, then i was right.

So to all my mistakes i will admit to, and i apologize for those. It did turn into a bashing sessions, i acknowledge that as well. However, i will say this and it is in recording, i invited anyone to come and take St. Judas's side explicitly on the show over and over again. Don't say i did not invite anyone.

I will take all consequences of my actions. I did this without the consent of Scream and the staff of mo-radio it is all my fault.

most people didn't seem to notice, but the "drama" actually helped a lot. I hope you stand true to your word kitty, I'm actually sure you will, for obvious reasons and I think the solution that finally came out of it was best for everyone. The community has made clear that it wants less moderation and a goddamn guild politics forum with very, very little moderation and I'm more confident than ever that this will actually happen.

A community and StarVault supported (ie. exclusive interviews) station is not the place to use as a soapbox for DJ agendas. Whatever your opinion was on the issue, the whole thing was done in terribly poor taste and not meant for radio. StJudas should have not stepped in there to bitch about it and the DJ's were in the wrong for trying to push him make a show about it.

Can you explain this to me? What is wrong with trying to get someone on the radio show who joins the public channel "#mo-radio" to discuss something public with you? They were in the middle of a show and it's kinda understandable that they didn't just want to stop their show and talk on IRC.

After this... incident, I don't think Henrik would like to get on to the radio in a while.

I wouldn't have been surprised if they decided to not support MO-Radio any more after this. And that might be what makes me the most mad, that you will jeopardise that for the sake of a flamefest.

Kitty overcompensated for being new. New mods almost always does that. And honestly, it's not a big deal. Complain about it to those it concerns. You don't have to turn it into something personal and completely blown out of proportion.

Being too lax is just as bad as being too harsh. Moderation in moderation. There are people that want this community to be no different than forumfall. Personally I don't really want the mods just rolling over and giving it to them without a fight.

This situation is only going to be used as ammunition for the more problematic members of the community to try and fashion the forums in their image.

Take a step back, take a deep breath, get a clear head and if change should come, it should come gradually and not as a sweeping reaction to a fire that was set by the very same people looking to turn those matches back on the community, once the moderation goes away.

yes i have been told by the other mods how to treat each type of post, i was just trying to say that if a post can be accepted then i will leave it. ofcourse i will fix it if it is not
