I completely agree, which is exactly why this thread needs to be stickied. Traceur's always updating it, and it picks up a lot of info that most people would miss upon first coming to the forums... things that devs say in out of the way threads.

Thanks, now when I'm gone for the month and the new info comes out I don't have to go searching for it.

I've updated the summary with a lot info from the posts by Mats Persson, including religion, influences & some additional tidbits scattered around. that being said, i had to be selective, since many of them are contributions to discussions, general personal take on things, opinions, song preferences, etc', which could either be too easily taken out of context, or do not necessarily reveal specific information.

You should put in a disclaimer just in case (that some of the information might not come in the complete game etc, etc...) =)

Q: Will there be pocketable mounts? A: Hmm, I'm not sure about the English here. If you mean pick-pocketable mounts, then yes. Otherwise no. You could argue that there are spells/scrolls you can tweak to get a similar effect (i.e. Raise Steed), but for that to work you'll need a dead horse or such (perhaps an eaten one?). But that's more of a special case. Obviously I must have been tired when writing this. The mounts will be "pick-pocketable" (is that a word?), meaning you can steal from their saddlebags and such. The mounts won't be "pocketable", i.e. you can't put your mounts in your pocket. But, there might be special cases, like in the example above. Hope this makes sense. |

It's wicked to see that the Devs are being so active in the community, and answering questions specifically posted by us - thumbs up from me.
It's also great to see that there's a fair bit of influence coming from the "golden days" of UO. That's what I've been missing in MMO's since those times. Exciting stuff. I can hardly wait |

I gotta say it. i of course haven't seen the game but just reading the responses to questions: "OH my GOD. The level of detail they have tought about even beyond other MMO's that have matured for years is amazing."
NICE WORK!!!!! This is insanely interesting. looks like you could play for a long time and still be discovering different aspects you have always had access to much never taken advantge of or explored. This is going to make a nice LONG TERM game. |

Just give me the ability to own a massive mage tower on top of a mountain, you can leave the rest out ill be fine.
Seriously though, some of the stuff mentioned is very tempting sounding. I am quietly anticipating this. Its about time people started making more dynamic total freedom style mmo's, we dont have enough. Eventually i will be able to quit work and life and play full time in one, oblivious to the outside world and all its chaos, woot! |
