Well.. in my opinion Virakar dealt with our (mahtisoturit) raids and such pretty well, with out Hyperion. At least when we were raiding them at their main time. You give too much credit for Hyperion, the propaganda might have worked when hyperion was still around

yeah, I played in Winterblades in Darkfall in the end. they're good guys. I'm still in it, but I really planned on playing again on NA for the fresh start, but with the damn "yeah you have to buy the game again" it looks like I'm stuck just playing other terrible game.

As far as Hyperion and YC go, frankly the original YC didn't have the numbers to deal with VG/CotP alone much less the chaos city guilds they wrangled into that mess. If they didn't call in Hyperion they would have been outmanned with two to one or worse odds. Virakar and most of YC handled themselves very well throughout the Yssam sieges.

Well, if you want to nitpick I guess RUS CORP wasn't exactly the wiliest of foes, considering later when they were in CotC they managed to drop a siege on the wrong city, and they managed to lose a siege on Chewbacca Bay with only a few bloodclan and three or four Anvil guys on defense.

I think Proto should do alright, MO forums aren't as liberal as SB and DFO. If he has been here this long, he should do alright.

Mithril Warhammers will be joining Virakar for the beta at least. We had far too much fun playing under their tags in DFO. It is always nice when you can ruin someone else's reputation =)

I used talk with a bunch of your guildies before Trials of Ascension got canned and I was looking to join up in Darkfall, but that game was too frustrating for my tastes.

Just looked on the recruitment forums to see if you guys are playing here;
Don't see anything specific about recruitment for MO on your forums, but I'd be very interested in actually joining you guys in MO and seeing if I can find a home there.

Yeah, I'm a bit more tame in my old age. I don't expect too many problems here now that I know where the line is so that I may toe it frequently.

As far as recruitment in MO, thats a tricky question. Right now there are only two people we've 'recruited' - both of whom were people that I could vouch for. If it is alright with you, I think our guild needs a few days to decide what we want to be doing in this game (or have a better idea). When we have that, I can let you know what's what.

I hope MO will be better as well, less grindy and more refined. I had enough fo Hyperion in the early days, I'm glad I didn't have to deal with them post launch. What guild did you end up running with?

Core merged into Virakar when we moved to SBA. They will be seperate for MO but still close friends of ours.

Ended up in DBC, waited until beta to make my final decision but I had them in mind throughout the wait. Just didn't want to end up with a bunch of whiny incompetent drama queens (see: Relm of Kirdain). I saw their performance in beta and that was essentially the thing that sealed the deal, killing Savage Alliance guys with 4:1 and 5:1 odds on a regular basis without taking any casualties was barrels of fun.

Also we have Thelema on our side, which basically consists of 3/4ths of the significant forumfallers. As I'm sure you know, regardless of who wins the battles, the wars are decided on the forums.

Virakar are a bunch of no talent zergers. If it wasnt for LoD/Rerolled/LotD/Hyperion/etc they wouldnt be anything and would have disbanded in shame years ago
