And that isnt anywhere long enough if a system is not even in place in the game. If you think of range/magic and melee...then range/magic just getting introduced...will need more than 3 to 4 months to test and be playable.

i share the same concerns.. there is still a lot that has gone untested, and i do worry that 3-4 months may not be enough time to get it perfect. only time will tell...

Amazing read, I can't thank Lachrymose enough, or even Mats for taking the time to write it up and post it.
In all honesty, while I am usually cynical and prolly improperly rude, I can't wait for the game and it seems as if the devs are doing everything that they promised. This is nice and refreshing at the same time to see the devs creating the game in their eyes and not in a cash cow's eyes. It is also very refreshing to actually see that a community actually has some say in what we want to be in the game, and that our words hold atleast some weight; while not needed at all because the devs have hit this right on the noggen. GJ to all of you. I am very happy with the way this game is turning out. GL SV ~Amarll |

The character development/crafting system sounds good.
But all we can do is hope a so-called prediction system exists and actually works. Personally, when I play a game and my hits have even a slight tendency not to register: it ruins the game for me. |

Nice, it doesn't sound like there's big issues with it at all right now. It sounds like they have some things to balance, as all games do, but it's not like other games where whole systems aren't functioning correctly.
Can't wait to preorder, and hopefully get in Beta. |

However I do hope, the prediction system and pings in general wont be such a big problem. Connection problems and lag are already annoying in games like multiplayer shooters, but in an MMO the consequences of an lag in the wrong moment can be much more severe. In an shooter you would cuss and then simply wait for your respawn. |

Anyway, as annoying as i may sound, don't become overhyped. First try it out, then start worshipping Mats and the team. |

I dont want to sound too negative or hateful, especially since you all reacted so positively on the review and this being my first post... But this (and the other one) review feels like being written by marketing, not by a player/tester. It is so formal and eloquent, and incredibly well structured, it is clearly written by a professional.
It definetly is jizz in my pants material, i am very happy a different MMORPG is soon to be relaased and everything ive read is absolutely awesome, but i cant help feeling decieved. Not to mention being fearful of hype, we have seen many times now that hype can do more damage than good, and a recent game not unlike MO has shown that in spectacular fashion. |
