I really don't know what to say....

I of course am excited to see the game and hopefully be part of the beta. I was before this thread... though now, I am even more hooked.

I may just end up taking off of work on the 29th... lord... already the game is effecting my life and its not released yet!

All joking aside... Everything sounds great. Including the full nudity... which I have a feeling will kinda pass as being a big deal once everyone just gets used to it. Aside from that, I can see nudes running around and being stupid as being real incentives for people to kill them.
I wonder, with the nudity in game, will it effect the games rating enough that it will be harder to find in stores?
Not that I actually expect parents to be parents... but if they do their job, it gives them a "reason" not to let their 7 year old play... which could really help raise the average age of the community. (crosses fingers)

I can't wait to beta/play.

Lots of props to the dev team for all their hard work. Keep it up guys.

No news on spells? Has spell casting defensive/offensive even been implemented yet?

What about female avatars? There was a hint at the "full frontal nudity" comment on the first review..or "implication" that female avatars have been introduced. Can this be verified?

So far from what I can determine theyve focused on melee combat first and work8ing their way down.

Character creation sounds good but I am concerned that ranged (magic and bows) seems to be latent in development.

Yeah, I assume so. This was the basic "combat beta" phase. I'm sure the next phases include magic and more ranged. At least they're starting at the top and making sure the basics work before trying to fine-tune the entire system at once.

About the female characters- I read a post from mats about the lack of them being in the combat beta was due to animations being worked on still for them- so I would assume he was talking about male full frontal nudity- since he also mentioned "davincian" accuracy which makes me think of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Da...uc_Viatour.jpg this image by Da Vinci.

Methinks MO will be the sleeper hit of the year. Word-of-mouth goes a LOOONG way in the MMO world. AoC released big and died quick because everyone ran and told their MMO friends how unstable it was. MO is smart to stay under the radar initially until everything is straightened out. A loyal community is key to an MMO's success.

3 to 4 hits to kill a naked character? Too many, they should die in one or two for balance and realism's sake.

Other than that, I'm getting really excited for this game.

You're forgetting the maxed out stats portion mentioned. Naked + Max Stats takes 3-4 hits.
