lol this is already looking better than AOC. I remember when I got selected for their beta, no one could even get the client to download from their overloaded servers, then when we finally got it off bittorrent, the thing couldn't stay up long enough to get a combo off before crashing. If this is where MO is starting, I think we have a winner.

nice stuff indeed, can't wait to finally play it myself ...

But one thing concerns me, or I just don't get it, correct me if I miss something here:

So that would mean that the taller I gonna create my char, the more health he/she will have ? Now if that is true, who is going to create a small char then, as it would initially have lower health ?

Other than that, SV just go on like that, kinda seems too nice to be true

Small body = smaller target, there is a reason why no one considered the midget fair in golden eye

from my understanding the points lost in health choosing a smaller char can be allocated to dexterity for example..so..my defenses would be higher than say a tall char with more health.((well when I say defenses I mean my ability to parry an attack or dodge.))

As I can not edit my above post, here I go again: So I just read the first Combat beta review now (should have done it the other way around maybe hehe ...) and there Lachry stats that if you create a smaller char, you gonna have more attrib points left to be spent e.g. for dexterity...

nice reveiw..

Would really liked to have had some actual hard stats to work with though...
What is the largest amount of players in one battle. (8? 16? 32?)
What is the ping from north america.

having to block precisely means ping is going to be more relevant especially without the prediction system.

Small char remind me of alfar in Df, small hit box.

Btw, thanks for this preview and for full front models, can't wait to try it.

Great review, i have faith that MO will deliver. And you're right, MO is pretty much the last hope of the dying sandbox style MMOs. If it fails, my dream playstyle will be lost forever. So keep working, Star Vault, and we all shall be rewarded.

I hope this aint for metal armour, because if it is they need to boost all armours.
A naked char should not have the slightest chance at winning a fight.
A naked char should die in 2hits and a (metal) armoured one in like 6. If they are scared that "poor" people will be gimped they can jsut give everyone 2 sets of leather and chainmail at the start so they can die a few times before needing to buy new armour.

Like I said in the other post, great read and thank you Shinzon and Mats for taking the time to type this up and post it.

I really hope this game does well for itself.

I've red the reviews in the morning and still can't think about anything else. It is just too awesome to be true.
I never thought (though secretly hoped) the character appearance customization is going to be a sophisticated one. Yet it is and it means I may even convince my gf to try the game out. Thank you, dev team.

And thanks to the reviewers for great and long-awaited spoilers^^

Great to read about some beta experiences. I'm really tempted to go into the beta stages. The description both reviewers gave about the crafting system really pulled me over the edge to enter beta. I'm only concerned if their payment system (credit card only?) will accept my virtual visa (and I have to pay in advance to be able to complete the transaction).
