Poll at the Homepage of MO.

Just a question, the poll seems active almost each time I visit the webpage so I can vote again and again, is it tracking IPs? Anyway don't think it's very important thing but it could be at the forums so everyone with an account votes once each.

And at the homepage having the results and the poll option directing you to log in your forum account in order to vote. Will have more "real" feedback that way I think.

Just my thoughts,

Better it be open to all. Forums are inherently a much smaller population than all visitors to a homepage.

But you can do such things as write a script for it to vote non-stop on that poll and twist results, not that it would matter in that perticular poll as ANY information released is good information

It only tracks by your cookies. So you can just delete your cookies and vote again, and again, and again, etc.

If you even allow cookies for the site ^^
Otherwise, F5 and repeat like you said. Or even use software like Newbie Web Automation to automatically enter like 1 vote per second.

IP tracking would prevent this. Forum/site membership requirement might be overkill though.

Hmm, that's a good point, I had realized that I could vote on multiple occasions, but I can't give up clicking on that "gameplay" button. As nice as the skill system is, who really cares how you get the skills, as long as it's fun to use them?
