Default UO tell your stories ;) (banned ones or good :) lol)

Ok I never played UO but it seemed like it was a super fun game. My bf played UO for a long while he said on Atlantic so I thought I'd tell you why he was banned (his first time). He said he took a book someone had scribed with information..which it really didn't have anything too personal. He said the guy found out he had it and he (made or the guy had extra copies) of it. My bf started typing what the book said to everyone around. Then the guy (his name was Indigo Montoya) spammed over and over PERSONAL WIFE INFO LEAKED. Called a GM but the gm told him there wasn't really any personal info in the book. So my bf said if you want it come buy it and he set out the copies for 40,000 each and the guy raised enough money to buy them back lol. Then my boyfriend made a guild called (6 fingered Man) His friends made characters named (I'm Indigo Montoya, You killed my father, and Prepare to Die) and followed the guy around and harassed him and was banned for it.. the first time.

Its kinda a mean story but thats one he told me he's done a bunch of bad stuff to get banned over and over and even had his own friends banned. He was alot younger then though lol not to say he wouldn't do it again.. he's silly. I like hearing the stories though so go

To many,

The best was probably meeting my now best friend on it. He lived 2 doors down... It was one of those things,

After about a month of hanging out online I asked where he lived, he said canada, I said me too, he said B.C., I said me too, he said Vancouver island, I said me too, he said Nanaimo, I said wtf..

It was alittle creepy at first.

My first day in Britain wasn't really pleasent lol. I needed to go to Trinsic because my friends were over there and I asked someone that whether he could take me there and h said sure. I said I would pay him later because I didn't have anything but my friends would pay so he agreed. But then I was chasing him and he fought many creatures on the way that would attack me. Then he took me to this wilderness where he had some other friends. These guys were wearing some red capes or soemthing. Then they all ganked me and left me there *sniff* Oh and they laughed and went away with my not much of items lol.

After I learnt how to play and increased my skills on cows, I was ready for the new world! Well, actually mostly my vet friends' guild helped me a lot. We used to have Friday night meetings where we would gather at the guild leader's house and have dinner and decide who will we hunt down that week. We needed to collect certain amount of heads of certain people so we used to get rewarded accordingly...those were fun times. There are lots of little memories. In game. Though, later on life got too busy and I couldn't play much. So, I only played like 4 months or so. But later down the track I played on private servers ...one of those old guildies even had one modified and it was fun a bit but since there weren't many peple it didn't feel authentic.

Now, I was in search of a game like UO. The closest one was Runescape 2 when it was first released. Now, it is too much of kids game. Gfx also suck. I've waited for somone to do UO like game with today's tech. It seems Starvault have heard me

My brother and I lived most of our days in Delucia, until we got to a satisfactory spot with our characters skill levels. Then we ended up hanging out in Moonglow for the majority of the time. He was flagged as a murderer so I did a lot of his in-town errands when he needed. Darklord and DeathBlade on the Great Lakes server.

Though starting out we were very clueless on the game, it being our first graphical MMO. I died my first day outside of Vesper to a Corp Por and saw that bolt of energy chase me across the screen.

He started with 50 Swordsmanship and 50 Animal Taming to tame us horses while I started with 50 Swordsmanship and 50 Magery to heal and fight. We never got banned, but we sure as hell scammed the living shit out of people because they were dumb as hell and GM's basically had a rule of "Sorry, it was your fault you didn't pay attention to detail."

Then we just stopped playing GL for awhile and did the Test Server thing and PvP'd on dial-up for a good half a year before returning to GL. He went as Britney Spears and I had a lot of different names like Holy Geez Batman and we mostly PvP'd around the gates and in between Vesper and Minoc. Later on we would then join the PvP scene around the Brit graveyard, which was a lot of fun.

Hardcore PK guilds...dumb as rocks...Oh the loot!

I was a classic UO player, me and my small guild of friends did much PKing and such. Like many classic UO players, I have many stories to tell. I will post some of them when I have more time. This one comes to mind, like the title at the top.

I would find the guild houses of some of the most well known red PK guilds. I would then take a noobish warrior toon outside their guild houses. I would be wearing an orc helm, red cape and a blue robe. Inside my bag would be a rune marked as my house outside trinsic (the rune was really marked for inside town). In my bag was also the fake house key.

They would come rushing out of their PK house for an easy kill. I would then have my friend waiting in town at the spot where the fake rune was marked. The dopes would gate into town thinking it was an easy house loot. My friend would then call GUARDS!!! GUARDS!!! GUARDS!!!....instant death by way of guard smack down.

It was awsome when we would get a load of them guard killed. There was a few times when we even got a hold of their house key and rune by doing this. It was more fun when they would page a GM on us. A GM told one of the people we killed this way to play smarter, lol.

Free UO trials meant purple death!

When UO would give out free trials to the game, me and my small guild would gather them up. While my friends would gather up the free trials, I was busy on my main account on my crafter making LOTS and LOTS of greater explosion potions. I would hand out tons of the greater explosion potions to my friends on the free trial accounts. I would then log on one of the free trial accounts and get some purples also .

We would go to town, most times it was Brit bank. Its awsome on the weekends with many players all at the bank. We would all chuck our greater explosion potions into the piles of people. We would kill massive amounts of people this way. We had it down to where we could chuck 5 of them each before the guards killing us.

This was sick, after the people being killed by the greater explosion potions, people started to loot each other only to be guard killed. There had to be some people who lost tons of things from this. Massive dead people all over, we even made peoples game crash by killing this way.

The GM's would ban our fake free trial accounts, we would just log on another free trial account and do it all over again.

I wasn't much into the whole pk thing more an adventurer in UO but there was times I would get bored and want to make havoc.

Anyway on the shard I used to play on there was a spot where people would get together and spar in plain iron armour and weapons raising there skills. I used to go when I was certain most people where afking and open some dragon eggs I'd then Kor Ort Por back to my house wait like find minutes then recall back to see all the corpses. I'd kill the dragons that hadn't wandered away and loot the corpses for some sparring equipment (didn't have a crafter, don't enjoy playing one, and this was cheaper then having to pay for it) also would pick up some runes and some gears had some there nice adventure gear still in a bag was always cool when you got some nice easy loot.
Anyway I at one stage paid a crafter to make 50 really good katana's it was a christmas I think and I distributed them to everyone at sparring grounds so my image of being a good guy wasn't to tanished.
Used to have alot of friends as well that used to call me to help them when they where getting PK'd once got ambushed by 3 very good pkers and looted because of helping one of the bastids but hey all in the name of doing a good deed. PK'ers never did have good loot on them thou and I also returned what I found on their corpses to their rightful owners anyway so it didn't really make a difference.

Aside from all the magic of house looting, boat looting was fun. Back in the day you could see everything that was on a persons boat. I would find a parked boat full of goodies, go invisible and wait for the owner to open the plank. As soon as the plank was open, I would hop on and PK the owner. I would then open a gate for my friends and we would loot like animals. One guy even came back and said, HEY.. MY MOM PUT THOSE THINGS ON THERE FOR ME! I said tell your mom welcome to UO!

Right before I quit playing UO, right before the game went full on pussy mode I was given a 24 hour ban. The reason? I was in Fel and some dude was talking to a GM, so I felt the need for him to be dead. The GM said that was uncalled for. I told the GM that the guy should have paged him from a safe area. The GM told me that I was the reason for many people quiting the game. I told the GM that he was an asshole and that he should learn the game if he wants to be a GM. I also told the GM that EA games was the reason for many quiting the game while I was in jail right before I got the boot.

I called EA games to complain over and over. All I kept getting on the phone was Indian dudes that did not know their asses from their elbows. I quit playing UO a few weeks after this big prob.

First login to UO:

Me and my cousin were LAN'ing and we decided to try UO out, once we got it installed and joined the game we had absolutely no idea what to do. We decided blindly to run north-east. After dozens of minutes of running we come across a large amount of chests, which belonged to a group of PK'ers. We looted them, got excited about the gear and started running back. The Pk'ers spotted us and came after us, after half an hour they finally catched us and demanded explanation, we said were just newbies who wanted some freeloot. They promised us all the loot we can carry if we defeat them in duel, we said to wait a second, we need a smoke first. They agreed on the wait, well, we pressed the log out buttons, before that we said we're going afk. While we were on the smoke our characters logged out. Hours later at 4 a.m we logged back in and ran to the bank, well, later on we spent hours at laughing at them naked inside town when the braggers begged us to give their loot back.
*Note: I've only played on freeshards.

Lol

I know that ths is wrong now, I was younger back then. Me and my friend made PK's on the Japan shard. I was A Bomb and my friend was named Enola Gay. We would PK them in dungeons. We got owned though, we PKed a dude and he called his entire guild to come get us lol. The players in Japan would have role playing restaurants they would run from their houses. We would run in and eat the food off the tables of players eating food. After that we would cast blade spirits into the restaurants. We PKed on the Japan shard for like a year, fun times. Im not racist at all though.

My friend made the server go boom! Near the healer hut, close to Brit bank was an inn. My friend recalled on top of the inn with his red PK toon. He started to call the guards over and over and over again. Massive amounts of guards came out but could not reach him. After just a short while of doing this, the server went down. My friend got his account a nice ban so we went out to get him a new box, lol.

lol I love this post.

I was reading this and thought of another story it was a while after I started playing UO and I had made alot of money at this point mostly killing harpies and selling there feathers to crafters lol. Anyway I got a contract from a crafter a whole bunch of feathers for a new set of adamantium armour with katana and a shield. I worked for like a week on it and eventually got all his feathers for him and he crafted me my set so I was happy as a pig in shit.
Anyway I decide now that I have all this cool armour and weapon to go with it I would go to hunt some drakes so there I am fighting in dungeon (forgot what the name of the place was) and I die I run to the healer and I'm hoping no one had seen my body hoping no one had looted me I get to my body and the armour is still on the corpse so I promptly start looting back my armour unknown to me FingasdeThief was also right there stealing the armour from my bag as I was looting...
None the less I left the dungeon with nothing but my ass in one of those death robes and swearing revenge on Fingers lol I never did get my revenge but he was a plague on my existance for alot most of my life in UO and stole alot from me. But I still love/hate the dude because he was a brilliant thief and he was one of the guys that made me love UO. Even if it meant I lost alot to him.

I wasn't much of a pker and I have never been much into pvper but it is cool to play in a world where the players are just as dangerous if not more so then the mobs you after.

Very easy loot!
Me and my friends would get one crate and load it with an ass load of crates. We would then take the crate full of crates to a higher skill dungeon. We would then place the crate full of crates over a dungeon level teleporter and chop the main crate. This left a perfect massive stacked pile of crates over the teleporter. It looked like only one single crate. Players would use the teleporters to get away from mobs. No such luck of ditching that mob chasing somone. They could not go through the teleporter and would have to move crate after crate after crate. By that time the mob chasing a person had them dead and the loot was ours.

The bone wall in dungeon decite was not such a great place for people to gain skill. Me and my guild would kill massive amounts of people all at the bone wall. The bone wall was an arched doorway. People would stand under the arch all beating on the mobs on the other side. We would cast energy feilds on both side of the players gaining skill. Then we would cast fire field, poison feild, blade spirits and anything else that had a timer inside the two walls of energy feild with all the players traped inside. It was great fun!

Another fun way to jack people was this. I would load my vendors up with lots of greath things for a very fair price. I would then have my friends get on their thief chars. I would have them waiting inside my shop stealing from my vendors. It would say you cant steal that item... oh well. I would go to town and open gates for players to my shop with the ultimate prices. People would buy an item and my friends on their thief toons would just need to use steal last target after a person bought an item. We would then split the cash and do it over again a few days latter.

I played a thief on the Sonoma (and later SP) shards. I ran with the typical thief skills at the time (Hiding, snooping, stealing and a bit of magery)

Well after a patch UO introduced a few new skills the the game one of those skills was stealth (the ability to move while hidden) I was training this skill up and got to about 90 when I had an idea.

I was running through the area north of Brittian when I saw a guy run in to his house. I kept running past till my name disappeared then I stealthed back toward his front door after a min or so the guy ran out of his house leaving the door temporarily open for a second or so and I was able to sneak in.

staying hidden I went through his stuff and took the vary best stuff, I was about to leave when the guy came back, so I hid in the corner and weighted.

The guy (a miner) begin looking through his chests and most likely saw some stuff was missing. Soon a gate opened up out side the house and 3 guys came through and entered the house (I was still hidden in the corner).

The 4 of them begin to argue over who took the loot from the boxes. After arguing for about 10 min and every one calling every one else else a liar they finally got mad and every one left. This was my moment and I quickly loaded up as much stuff as I could carry (not that much) and recalled back to town. I deposited the stuff in my bank (yes I had room cause I couldn't carry that much stuff yet).

A few min after that I saw the miner (owner of the house I just looted) in town offering to sell his large forge house for an amazingly low price. I asked him if I could see the house and he gated me to the vary same house I had just looted.

I asked him why he would sell the house so cheep and he said that his house was not secure. I asked him how much he wanted for the house and he said 5000 gp (extremely low price) so he gated me back to town and I traded him the 5000 gp for the keys to the house.

After that he gated me back to the house and I saw that most of the stuff was still in the house and I asked him if he wanted it. He said no cause most of it belonged to his former friends the screwed him and that I could have the stuff.

I asked him if his friends had keys to the house and he said that until today he didn't think so but obviously some one did cause they where able to get in. I just smiled to my self.

I never had a problem with people breaking in to that house after that. and I got a (large forge) house full of stuff and next to a cave for dirt cheep. Later I continued looting houses but never had another experience quite like this one.

Ill tell one of my stories first hand since my girlfriend shared one with you already about my days as Vango the pk of Catskills and Atlantic.

I was in yew near the graveyard at my house. Felucca had been implemented and man was I pissed. No one ever came out that way anymore since the change. However fortune smiled upon me this day.

I went outside to pick some boxes in a nearby little area (worthless treasure but I needed skill gain) and I saw two people (blues) standing before a small house.

The man said enter my new bride and see your new home.

I was super syched!

No only had the lord blessed me with 2 victims he also delivered unto me roleplayers....roleplayers who roleplayed till the end...like in that 1864 ep of SOuth Park.

Anyway, I had just macroed off my red status and greeted the two saps wh invited me in. I checked out there crappy little abode and ran to the nearest unoccupied corner and hid.

"That will get ye banned sir!" Exclaimed the pompus iron clad fool. I immediatly said sorry and then unsheathed my trust Katana and hacked him and his wife to bits, he kept mistyping I Ban Thee! over and over and Over again. till he dropped.

His wife ran outside and I said something along the lines of having her first now that her husband was dead. And that it wasnt a crime to give herself to me since they were legally divorced thanks to his sudden death.

She began roleplaying like i was raping her (sad but true) she said

*Sniff Sniff* Fine doe as you like villain" and took off her clothes and Im sitting at home going WTF so I fnished her off.

Soon thereafter my trust real life friend logged on and I was like come to my house son we got Rper's afoot in fel. The two ressed and quicly returned inside the safety of there home which they had succesfully banned me from this time.

SOme members of there guild thoguht they would come and dispatch my friend and I but they were no match I pwned them with the quickness and the same day that man and his woman uprooted that house and moved it to trammell.

But i wasn't done with him.

For weeks i gathered info on the stratic and various other UO forums of this mans whereabouts. FInally i found that he and his guild were doing a hunt in hythloth. Seeking to tame some dragons.

I showed up a few moments ahead of time and no one paid me any attention (Skara Brae rejects) and no one cared that I jumped in the moongate behind them.

This gate lead to a spot in the dungeon that was safe from getting things trained on you if you didnt leave the room. The AI in UO didnt allow some monsters to make a diagonal dash for you so they would stay hunkered up against a wall till you were dead ahead of them or close enough for them to path walk up to you.

It should be noted that these guys were carrying some heavy firepower, some dragons and daemons they had tamed or summoned and they were still organizing when I opend the door allowing about 5 dragons to train in on them.

"WTF what are you doing!!!! NOOOOOOO"

I hid as tehy all were slaughtered and there dragons were slaughtered. I had learned that one person had his dragon for like years almost since the retail launch of the game.

He couldnt get back to that spot for when it was clear I looted alot of things from them (runes and rune books and bandies =) ) then kal ort pored my ass home once it was clear of dragons.

I never saw those guys again or there guild (disbanded shortly after that) I had already had a bad reputation of dismantling guilds by this time and harrasing people and I loved the notoriety because if your wanna be a villain in a game you damn well better be able too.

I can't reallly see how these things here are any funny, especially the deeds done by this "The Kookyboy". I play the game to have fun, and you guys seek out ways to destroy the experience of others. Not all of you are as bad as the Kookyboy, who seem to like to see others suffer, but please... I find some of these things both extrememly immature and egocentrical (is that even a word? ).

Hopefully Mortal Online will be able to deal with such people in a good way.

It was many years ago when I did many bad things in classic UO. Im sure that the other people who did bad things no longer do them. I have not done anything bad in games since my classic UO days. Todays UO is owned by EA games and they turned UO as sissy as they could for the sissy players. Im sure with Mortal Online there will be a newer gen of people who will sploit the game to harm others.

Hopefully Mortal Online will be able to deal with such people in a good way.

Whats the use of having a roleplaying game if you cant Roleplay a bad guy. Wheres the heroic spirit of defeating said PC's who do these deeds.

Long gone Im afraid there are many villains and no heroes in the MMORPG scene. Unless you count completing quests for NPC's....I dont count that as heroic though.

Some could argue being heroic and helping each member of your party or a stranger...fair enough...wheres the counter balance?

lol Kookyboy was about 16 or 17 when he did these deeds..

I wish there was the option to do that kind of stuff to people in other mmo's. Specially people that piss you off.

I quite enjoy games where you have to be careful where you venture. Bad place to be at a certain moment in time = fun times.

I usually play a good character.. but there are times where I so wished I had a bad character to kill everyone in sight lol

I'm Neutral. As in I have a moral code, and I won't steal from good people.
