I'm making this short guide because of a request from Landor, if you have
anything you think i should add or modify, please post the suggestion in this thread. If you encounter any spelling errors etc, please point them out so i can fix them. How to connect to an Irc(Internet relay chat) IRC is an abbreviation of Internet Relay Chat, a protocol for Realtime chatting. To be able to connect to an IRC server, you will need an IRC client. The most common (and most easy to use) is Mirc, but Mirc is only for Windows users. There's also a bunch of other Clients for Windows, Like Klient or Virc. If you use Unix you can use Irssi, and if you use Mac OS X Colloquy is a nice IRC client. There's also an Irc Addon for Firefox called ChatZilla Once you've downloaded the Irc client of your choice, it's time to connect to a server. For example to get into the IRC-network stratics you type /server irc.stratics.com in your Irc client. Once you're in it would be nice to actually join a Irc-channel. For example to join the Mortal irc you type in /join #Mortal (almost all channels everywhere on the Irc servers starts with a #). That's pretty much it, good luck connecting everybody =).
