Infraction Information [Updated 16/06/08]

Due to a lot of offensive behaviour after launch including direct insults between members, excessive swearing, flame wars and spamming, we've decided to inform you all that from now on we'll become stricter on warnings and infraction giving. For now we won't rely on direct banning unless someone does something horribly bad or the infractions points stacks up for automatic ban. We know that some of you have had inputs on the ToS / Rules and we are aware of your comments, for now please be patient and follow them as described until we have an update regarding the matter.

The current infraction system works as follows.

All warning types / infractions: 1 point
Point degeneration speed: 1p / 3 Months
After 3 points: 14 days ban
After 4 points: 1 month ban
After 5 points: Permanent Ban

We ask humbly for you to be nicer to each other and keep the swearing to a minimum. We don't want to rely on warnings or infractions, but some of you have simply gone too far. Some of you have already started receiving warnings and we want to inform you that we're not targeting any member in specific - we've simply started using the infractions from this moment and there's no reason to fall back on non-moderated posts. We also don't have time to make sure each offensive post is resolved equally, so we ask you not to compare posts between each other if you find it unfair. In the end it's really simple, don't behave bad and you don't receive a warning.

By showing respect to others, you'll get it back. If someone is posting an unnecessary thread at the level of spam or is insulting someone, send us a message and we'll take care of it. Not to forget the most important part of all - do NOT feed the trolls. We want a forum where everyone should be able to state their opinion, no matter what opinion they have, without being flamed.

Clarification: on the forum you may see a line like "Infractions: 1/0 (0)"
The number before the slash is the number of formal warnings, that do not effect the level of infractions at all.
The number after the slash is the total number of infractions, as per the infraction system.
The number in parenthesis is the number of active infractions, the ones given within the last 3 months
