What about worshipping a person like a god?
Maybe the leader of a guild? If your guild is big enough the leader will make it into the world's pantheon and will be a living god on earth. Maybe if he's a count or chancellor or even the/a king, he can be worshipped by his people and because he actually can protect them, will be worshipped by other people who lost their faith because their former god didn't react. I think it would be some kind of interesting. CLASH OF THE GODS! What do you think? |

Don't know how that could work out with the game mechanic.
I think it should stay part of the RP and not in the god system. Declaring him a god for the system could make him too powerful. Maybe giving the believers some kind of faction points for the city he rules. And what about people that only worship themselves?

One person worshipping himself isn't getting him into the official pantheon. Because of less followers.
But when it comes to percentage he would have 100 % of followers knowing of him as god! Then he probably can make it! |

There was a discussion on this somewhere, and I'll restate what I said there.
I like this idea, but it really depends on the mechanics of the game itself. If Gods give their followers powers, then I don't think it should be possible, because a big guild will become even more powerful with the endless bonuses and benefits their leader with heap upon them. However, if Gods do not give their followers powers and other associated things, then I think it's fantastic. Adds a really cool layer of roleplay that would be awesome to indulge in, which I'm all for. |

Well, it does sound cool. But I say just stick to the Gods that are in the game, because having a person that is not on the game 24/7 (unless he is crazy and never gets a minute of sleep and is 1 ton.) It would not work out. Then again the God we worship has never been seen either, so then again it could work if his name was just worshipped and it just went on like that.
But I don't think the leader of a guild should make it into a world pantheon. He should just be worshipped by whoever wants to. (roleplay worship) |
