Actually it's a stand alone game.
City Of Heroes for heroes and City Of Villains for villains. But you can combine the two games to be able to play both sides. I liked the char creation, I almost spended more time on it than actually playing. You have a hell of different possibilities. High End game's pretty much fun later. As well as PvP is, due to different classes and power sets on hero and villain side. |

Actually I am playing Age of Conan and sometimes Lord of the Rings Oline (I have a lifetime abo for this game).
When I am not playing a MMORPG I play games like Teamfortress 2, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, Call of Duty 4 |

From what I've heard/read/seen AoC is just what I thought it would be... crap.
Currently, there is no MMORPG out there (released or in Beta) that I find appealing. So, I've been playing GH3 and SoaSE.

I'm still in desperate search for a good game.
Played Worms Armageddon just for fun yesterday. That's how desperate I am! ^^ If anyone has a fun game with multiplayer etc. whether FPS or RPG etc. Please go ahead and tell me.

PC, that's the hard point. There are so many good looking console games recently, but I have no recent console and good PC games are gettint pretty rare, at least in comparison.
My last console was a N64. I had all the Nintendo consoles from the grey big old shool handheld Gameboy, through the SNES to the N64, except for a NES, my brother had a PS and a PS2, my little sister had a XBox, so we had a balance there. But one day I realized I had a PC so why get a console? There's so much more potential in PCs and consoles are just the cheaper plug and play variant for some instant fun. But heck I still like getting my N64 and especially my SNES out for some oldschool gaming fun.

If you can find the game for download and an emulator... I would suggest Alternate Reality... Hours and hours of fun.
I loved that game back in '88-'89...

I can find anything. *cough*
As I said I'd go for every genre, but RPGs would be preferred. Also multiplayer would be nice, maybe Co-op. Singleplayer games don't appeal to me anymore the way they did long time ago.

ok, I found a site where you can download the game and the emulator... here
It's a really old game (developed in 1985), but still an excellent game. =) **Edit** Just read through what the guy said in that link... Quote:

I just got done playing AoC. I'm still subscribed, but I have logged in a whopping 1 time in the past week. It's fun wore off, and fast. The bugs that riddled that game that they constantly ignore as they pump out more new features which are going to be as bug ridden because they refuse to fix what they have in the first place.
So I think I may go cancel my account today. My sister and I are thinking about playing on an old EQ1 classic private server somewhere. We grew up on EQ1, it was good to us. Then I'm also thinking about going back to EVE, but I was unable to get very into it last time I played because it just felt TOO massive, it was quite intimidating, and I didn't really know anyone that played. Maybe if I found a good Corp I'd be ok. In the mean time, I've been playing some good ol' tower defenses and such in WC3:TFT.

Oh dang I forgot about that. Are they allowing you to DL the client directly from them? I haven't seen my Vanguard discs since I bought them, which explains why I've forgotten about it, I suppose.

If the download timer goes up to like 100 hours you might want to try hitting "cancel" and restarting the launcher. I recommend giving the game another try. Peformance is much better, hitching has improved (select the option to precompile when you first log in), and there are a lot of people playing (especially on Seradon) right now during the free month.

actually, use this: http://launcher.station.sony.com/
The new station launcher is might not have that weird download bug. Edit: Also, hit me up on Seradon if you need any help. I'll probably be playing on Etwynn.
