Now, I've never kept up on Darkfall, nor have I ever concerned myself with it being vaporware or not, but..

Theoretically, it STILL could be vaporware. Having a publisher makes it seem like they really do have something to publish, but I'm just playing devil's advocate here.

Don't be stupid, having a publisher makes it no longer vaporware, that was the only thing these vaporware nutbags had to go on to prove it was vaporware.

Really.. IMHO Darkfall doesent look good. Ok in UltimaOnline it wasn't the best graphics but was really really really really really good. But.. DF.. naaah..

Darkfall feature wise is Ultima Online done better.

I've never thought that Darkfall was vaporware. Similarly, I've never been convinced that it's as awesome as the hype claims that it is.

Honestly if the game is good enough then I'll look past the graphics. But if the PvE component is nonexistent in DF, then it's a no-go for me.

The way the trees in the distance and the grass looks don't sit well with me.. Not to mention the armor looks too plastic and shiny. (See: elbows, waist, area between left shoulder and hood)

I have a feeling the grass bends, since at least the grass moves into the direction of the wind, so they are animated.

I would not say EvE's graphics were outdated at release. It was frickin' stunning to look at back then, and when I jumped into it October last year, it still looked stunning. Oh, and then there was Trinity...

Even if it shipped with only half it's proposed features, no, there is no way.

Interesting though how vaporware criers have now changed their stance to, "well, it's probably going to suck!" I can only imagine what the argument will be when it is released. "OMG it doesn't have flying mounts or Night Elves!"

I have not changed my stance, I don't back peddle out of shit.If you never gave thought to the idea that DF might just be a buggy, horribly executed piece of code IF it ever gets released, you're probably one of the retards who prioritize posting on the DF forums over taking a shower and brushing their fucking teeth.

Look at AoC. It shipped with most of it's features. It turned out horribly. You're forgetting how badly bugs and such can cripple a game, even if it has the best features in the world.

Yes, it could suck, but so could every other game ever made.. that does not change the fact that feature and promise wise, Darkfall is the farthest a pvp full loot mmo has come in development, since Ultima Online.. that's something to like Darkfall for.

Deny it all you want, but if Darkfall is released and it's released as promised, you WILL be playing it, proving to the world that you're a complete tool..

You seriously think that's possible? REALLLLLLLY?

They have not shown any proof of any of their claims. They have talked about this video for a month, and not today they gave a little QA. That's nice and all, but with all the statements Tasos has made, he needs to ACTUALLY PROVE THEM. They haven't even proven any of their statements, and they are, at max, 6 months from release.

Not only that, but they haven't even reached beta yet! 6 months from release, BUT they do not even have a beta date announced. Hell, they even ignored the beta questions in the Q&A, it is utterly rediculous.

No beta, no proof, the best DF will ever turn into is a DnL.

You can when games like Age of Conan, Everquest 2 and company are trying to push MMO graphics to match Single player graphics.

In comparison to Everquest 2, WoW was outdated on release, graphic wise.

I personally think FPS and Ping is far more important than graphics, MMOs should be far more about artistic graphic style then poly count. Everquest 1 and Dark age of camelot graphics are all I need.. the less of a dramatic engine your system is required to run, the more people can be in the same area at once.. and by far my most important aspect of a MMO is the Massively Multiplayer part.. if I want 200 people i
