Mouse Recognition

This one just came to me as I was playing WoW. These days, gamers are picking a mouse that better suits their gaming needs, and lately, more and more of them are sporting more buttons than your typical mouse. I, for example, use the Logitech MX Revolution, which has something like 14 possibly bindings. Sometimes it's overkill, sometimes it's necessary. That being said, I'd like to see support for a variety of hardware, as well as fairly open binding options. The ability to bind anything you can click on to a key or a mouse button. Customization would be key to granting players absolute freedom in creating their own unique style of play and combat. Just a wish.

I don't really use all these weird different buttons that are on some mice around today. Mine has the normal ones and two little ones on the side one i just found out (i never use them) goes back a page when on internet and does nothing normally the other magnifies part of the screen 5x (kinda useless since I have a big monitor already its a 22' widescreen ViewSonic) and then 4 way scrolling. I would only be using those (if I do) maybe a couple times every now and then but it's kind of pointless to me. The best thing about the mice today is the grip that they have I love that because its soooo much more confortable.

On WoW, I have upwards of 30 binds, so it helps to be able to do most of them with one hand.

I seriously hope they make the interface so brilliantly simple that no on would NEED 30 binds.

all the complicated fancy more-buttons-then-a-keyboard mouses almost never come in lefty or both-hands versions, they all have these shapes catered to the average right-hand user, so i never had the pleasure of using such - it's a bloody discrimination i tell you! it's... handism!

now that's being said...

what i hope for is complete freedom to apply anything to any available key, and that alone would naturally allow you to apply them to your extra mouse buttons.

There is always the chance of a Mortal Online Z-Board is there not? That is where your bindings can go. I had bindings in WoW too and I used them with one hand but they were on the keyboard and it worked perfectly.
