Now before you say "But I don't do quests", allow me to explain. In the Matrix Online, there were missions you had to do, 'Standard Missions', but in the weekly update there were 'Critical Missions' that furthered the storyline. Perhaps once 'Veteran Status' has been achieved, a new branch of quests would be open to you that ultimately (at the end of the arc, or mission, depending on how frequently the quests are put in) give you a new title, such as Panderai the Heretic Slayer? Perhaps I've gotten a Religous Quest/s, and I have completed it/them and they involved the assassination/extermination of non believers.

They did this in Lotro, or atleast a form of it, I ended up with 40 different titles
I don't like titles
Either you allow everyone to create there own, or you make them a reward, what is the point if someone has the same title as you and everyone is The Archer or Knight Name if you allow people to create them thereselves..
Id prefer no titles, just a First name and last name, have your title be given to you by your guild as a rank or just call yourself something..
Just my opinion though, in 10 different mmo's, i never used the titles, it was just fluff to me. It does not hurt my gaming expereince to see other people have titles, so just make sure you allow people to not have a title
Being Knight Shawk and having 4,000 other people with that title, ruines it for me
