NCsoft always has a nice product graphically, and apart from a bit of grinding, the games seem overall nice. This was made with the Unreal 3 engine. Perhaps shows a bit of what Mortal is capable of? Take note that this is supposed to be an "Oriental Martial Arts MMORPG."

Yeah, it's a pretty cool concept.

I had never really thought much of putting one of the traditional fighters (Street Fighter/TEKKEN/Soul Calibur) into an MMORPG until I saw this. I think I will try it out whenever it's complete.

I couldn't find much information about it though. Nothing on their official site, just random newsposts here and there.

If you're a female character in any NCsoft game, the higher the amount of skin that's showing, the higher your defense is. It also goes up in an exponential curve.

I think it looks good in a fantasy game if done well. I don't think that everything in a game should necessarily be realistic. Realism can add both good and bad sides to a game, but regarding clothing in an RPG, it just needs to look fantastic to make me happy.

This game is however focusing on martial arts, so here it would make some sense. I'm guessing there will be both silk and leather on the girls, which is what such fighters would probably prefer.

Why not wear white panties? And ceremonial kimono-like outfits as well as the serafuku have been used in fighting games for as long as I can remember. I see nothing wrong with it, really. Many men have their weird but cool looking outfits in those games aswell. I also know a lot of girls who love to look sexy in their game.

Blade and Soul looks good, simply because they've decided to go with things other producers said was impossible, like grappling. Increased use of the environment, like jumping through trees at an accelerated travel speed ++
An asian fighting game has been done before, but NCsoft usually know what they're doing, so I'm happy. It will most likely be released way after MO though, so no worries

And I agree with the female armor designs now-a-days. I seriously hope Mortal Online takes a realistic approach to armor rather than women wearing scale mail bras and panties.

You haven't played many of those by the likes of it. Besides the fact there's usually a long grind, they are very diverse in other aspect. Things like the setting, monster diversity, graphical approach, class/skill system and so on vary from game to game.

Looks pretty good, would try it out certainly for the chance to play a decent beat em up MMO kind of thing. I really miss working out special moves and combos, would be interesting to see how it worked in B&S.

Overly large tits on the female chars look far too OTT, makes it look silly and grossly unrealistic.

I thought it was a consol game at first, for like 360 or something since atleaste I think it would be kinda hard to klick to attack in 3:d person and at the same time maybe rotate the camera

NCSoft is a joke, in my opinion.

Their real companies clone grinder after grinder, all of which are based on the Lineage 2 engine, and then just ship them to their sub-companies and translate the games for new countries.

They all play the same. Look the same. Feel the same. Act the same. And for the most part, they are pretty much the same games with different names. Or small features - like grappling. Or flying. Or customization.

That's why I don't even consider the Asian/Korean MMO's to be serious games anymore. They were 5 years ago maybe. Now they are all carbon copies of one another, offer shitty and kiddy pool deep PvP, tons of level grinding, and an overall snoozefest.

If you've played one of NCSoft's games than you've played them all. Hell. It's like their entire universe could be a Lineage 2 expansion.

I like the idea, hopefully they will actually deliver. I mean come on, at least it's somewhat of a new concept. I read the DEV Q&A somewhere and they had some really good ideas and goals.

Personally I don't really mind the art style either, could do with a bit less high fantasy and anime style, but meh. The graphics (effects ect) look pretty nice.

PS! I actually like L2, or rather, liked, before NCSoft "improved" it with expansions. At least you could kill anyone you wanted and had a non instanced seamless world.

I don't think you should hate a game for introducing huge boobs on female characters. it's more like a standard rather than something to be ashamed of. after all, most of mmorpg players are lonely male teenagers. if i start playing it, i'll prolly roll a shemale, as i'm not a guy-guy, heck i wouldn't mind being a wife in an in game marriage. think what'cha like bout me, but personally i just prefer watching a skinny, scantily clad female fighter, rather than homoerotically dressed bulky male warrior. other than having huge boobs, i think we can expect a good level of originality in terms of the combat system. im just hoping it'll be different from the endless clik and auto attack. will be checking this one out if it comes out before mo.
