Default The underworld.

Im not talking about what happend when you die but a world down below the surface.

It would be realy cool to actual adventure in a big world underground world pretty much like the underdark in Forgotten Realms.

In most MMo i have played there is only some caves and a slighlty larger caves but nothing more, what i would realy have as i sead is a huge underworld that would take months if not years to explore every tiny bit of it.

Down below there is natrual cave dwellers who either migrated down there or like goblins who like dark and damp places.

You can do alot down there like quests, exploring shortcuts to an island ect.

What do you guys think, its a bad idea?

The more game world the better, as long as it doesn't get to big so it feels empty. That doesn't mean some places can't be empty of course.

Underground dungeons and cities are a big part of most fantasy MMOs. They're generally not all connected though, so I guess it's not the kind of "Underdark" you're looking for.

It would be nice to see regions of wilderness underground, not just instanced dungeons. It would also be awesome if we could dig our own tunnels and have player-built mines and underground cities. But it's a feature I could live without. The surface tends to have better scenery anyway.

No one is forcing you, the point is that there will be huge place to explore that means devs dont have to put in new areas all the time they are already there.

I don't see something like that being focused on until some sort of an expansion pack. For now the developers focus is topside, I am pretty sure; later come all of the dungeons and creepy crawlies

If it was about the same size as the Arx Fatalis world, then it would be swell, any bigger and it'd turn out as an oblivion-like tunnel with some stupid crap mixed in to make it feel less empty.

cave exploration is going to be so awesome in mortal with torches and limited light. you'll never know what could be creeping up on you down there.

I am with you. Give me the land of the Drow to go explore. There shoul be a huge world under the first with whole societys that are very dangerous. Read a little R.A. Salvdore. Give the good a reason to go clean the undergroung and the evil a place to go in search of arcane knowledge. You could even have unique weapons and magic lines to discover under there. There is a whole different evolution of crafting, magic and styles they use. Come and discover what you can.

I was posting something about this idea some time ago, but seeing where this forum is going i've deleted that post and stopped posting. As i see more wow fans coming inhere placing their arguments i am scared for this game outcome.

The developer already said it probably will be a hardcore game, so let's hope for the best.

That undworld could be one part you have to find on your own. Like you find a small hole in the stone and you have to creep into it and then you have to follow the path for 30 mins, climibing rocks and go throguh passages that small that you almost can't find them till you reach a secret underground city or something like that.

How so? Could you elaborate? I only played the opening 100 yards for the free trial in WOW before deciding the game sucked and deleted it. (Guess i am a little EQ2 spoiled.)

What is it about WOW that reminds you of the forums. Personally WOW is the las thing i want to see this place become.
