Default Guild System Inspiration

I would like share a few screenshots taken by WAR-RVR.net of the Warhammer Online guild system and user interface. I won't be playing WAR, but I do think they have done a great job with implementing a fantastic guild system. It covers most features a guild would need to operation properly without using 3rd party mods and applications. Although I haven't seen the Alliance section it's really nice to know there will be options to manage alliances. I also like the permission options which are very detailed and cover almost everything.

What other guild system features from other MMO's would you like see the dev's take inspiration from?

You know, I too was very impressed at Mythic's guild system they planned for WAR.

Well, I saw my friend playing maple story once and he showed me his guild. Now the interesting thing is I thought I saw an in-game forum type mechanic. It looked really interesting and if MO could implement something like that it would probably eliminate any 3rd party program, application, or website needed to run a guild, which I think would be wonderful.

I hope there will be guild banks and such, and utilities for the forming of Alliances; something that we can set the guard stances even to individual players...

I'm all for personal KoS lists and visual aids to inform me who really deserves a taste of my blade in their flesh. Maybe when you hover over them their name tag would turn a certain colour, or a small icon would appear, or possibly some kind of a hatred bar would fill up?

Or a pure graphical effect:

Neutrals: Nothing, absoltley nothing
Allies: Either a slight green or a slight blue Auora
Enemies: A slight red Auora

Not anything neon light like; just something subtle, but enough to tell you who they are...

I think the expectations for guild management tools are so incredibly low right now even something as basic and simplistic as WAR's organization system can be perceived as inspirational. I hope Mortal Online features something far, far more configurable and complex than what WAR has. As a game that relies so heavily on inter- and intra-guild relationships, I expect that the amount of tools we have at our disposal will be directly proportional to the complexity of the society we build in-game.
