It may sounds stupid but all the last few games i played (also some mmorpgs) there were never children npcs.
It may seem neglgible but it makes the game more realistic and should we be able to make a book out of children skin if there are no children?

i agree that it's a little odd that there aren't usually many children npc's, but i suppose there would be some moral ramifications to being able to slaughter a child in a game.
also, i'm afraid you lost me when you started talking about books made of children skin...?

Many games that I have played have children NPC's. Just have them in places that makes sense. A town or city? Ofcousre there are kids there. A Barracks, fort, or battle ground? Better be a damn good reason there are children there.

Seriously though - yes for kids in games, it adds to the "realism" somewhat. |

i am sure you will find the odd child here and there. EQ2 and AoC both have some. They just are attackable. They do give quests and play roles though in both.I wouldn't say the quest thing is common unless they need help to save their parents or some odd thing. Children are usually involved in much chaos since they aren't super involved in adult things, plus i haven't seen them as attackable that i remember.
Would be nice to see a child ask to you escort him to some obscure play only to find out he is possessed or something and morp into a demon. Attacking kids just for thier skin though i don't think will happen though....lol. The idea may have a realistic place but the act is so taboo I don't think you will see a game allow that. Besides, i don't think anyone will not play because you can't attack kids and if they did it would probably be for the best.....lol. |

Hey, what's wrong with you guys?! Don't you know that in fantasy worlds people are born fully grown. I mean sure, 90% of the mothers die when giving birth, but that also explains why some fantasy worlds have so little women (in other worlds the chicks are waay tougher).
Stupid n00b thread.
