will players in MO be able to craft their own currency, privately or affiliated with a player faction/nation, and let the dynamic player economy determined it's worth?

i would like to see various forms of currency, but i think it should only be up to the head of a faction/nation to create these forms of currency. if individuals could create their own currency, you'd see hundreds of "traceur bills" or "lachrymose bucks" floating around.

I think it would be a little weird to have multiple currencies. Having the gold/copper/silver and so forth standards would work just fine for me. If you wanted to print your clan's logo on it, sure I'm fine with that. As long as the money is of standard in terms of worth, I'm okay with it. I wouldn't want to deal with exchange rates and that kind of stuff.

I was thinking about this. But not necessarily player made currency but more of a regional currency somewhat like todays economy. But like Rathius said it would get way to complicated with exchange rates and all that, especially since most people won't be spending their entire time in one specific region.
It would also be a hassle to be adventuring into the wilderness to find a secret vendor that doesn't accept your type of currency. Now, I read a suggestion somewhere abotu the gold silver copper standard. Instead of say 100 copper turning into 1 silver automatically it would stack into 101 copper or 120 copper and you would then have to go to the bank to turn it into a silver. This would only work if there was like money weight or something along those lines so that people don't just farm the easy people for copper which would then weigh them down.
