I want all better weapons, shields and armors to be created by crafters. Sure, maybe slaying the über dragon of death would give you something else. Maybe a neat title of some sort or a special keg that gives you unlimited beer?

I'm getting your drift here. But you gotta admit it'll get the PvP going. Although yeah, when I came up with the idea, I might have had the wrong target audience. Luckily, people here all seem like hardcore PKs who will kill as much as possible regardless. (I'm finally home...)
but yes, of course all the good stuff should be crafter made. That's a given. I want a WoW clone as little as anyone else around here, with super items galore. Though it WOULD be a sexy twist, and an original concept.
But yes, I think I might have overlooked the fact, (which should be evident from WoW) that if there is a super item out there, people will stop doing anything else, until they're the owners of the item, leaving every other feature in the dust. But hey, if the feature list for this game will be limited in the end (to...maybe sieges) then the concept surely wouldn't hurt the game.
