im not going to get in the flame war but i am from AoC it is a good solid game with full PvP and atleast a change in the right direction as far as playerskill goes into combat albeit not enough

been on the AoC forums for a long time. They have something to show for their time in developement....DFO....uhm yeah....still waiting....*chuckles*...ever hear the term pipedream?

Anyways, will be playing AoC til something else comes along, that isnt WH...maybe WH40k. Will watch this and see if it comes out of the vapor stages.

Age of Conan is a perfect example of a large developer taking the safe route and producing a themepark game as described in the Mortal FAQ. The Game will look great, the animations will be sweet, the lore is fantastic, and the rest? ... Like slowly crushing your left testicle in a vice.

Amusing how all the DF fans just turn every thread to trash with elitist attitute that some have. Some are really misinformed about AoC.

AoC started the feud long ago when one of their devs came on the forums to flame us. Ever since, it's been a battle between the pvp'ing forumfallers and the carebears in disguise (AoC).

Yeah, it's pretty disappointing. I get the feeling that they are just bitter that unlike DF AoC is actually going to be released soon.

Personally, I don't care that they bash the game for being carebear, compared to a full loot sandbox game it certainly is. What gets to me is how misinformed they are, yet they seem to think they know more about AoC then the people who actually follow it.

Yip, claiming something and holding on to those words don't make them true.

Truth be said, AoC will be a little lacking due to absence of full loot but still it will be a great game if one can look passed that single feature. It has fantastic lore and a lot of it will be there. For those that have read the work of R.E.H, like myself, and liked it there will be lots of content to enjoy and a graphically amazing world to emerge into.

I'll stick to AoC untill Mortal launches. It's not like there is going to be a better fantasy MMO in the market until then :P

Take this nerdy gay crap to the forums they belong. This is not the crappy looking dfo or decent looking AOC forums. AoC is not even out and dfo may never come out so shut it you dam geeks! Besides AoC may be lacking in full pvp but at least it's not limited like wow and it's copycats. And dfo may look to have a better pvp system than AoC but it's graphics engine will be out of date by the time if ever it gets released. The game is not impressive looking at all. Now as far as this game goes, the graphics looks nice and there is hope for the pvp system.

Who are you calling a geek? If you are claiming that MMO players are geeks then you are sadly mistaken. I do not like it when people think just because you play games you are a nerd/geek. Last time I checked you are on a videogame forum so does that not make you a geek.

I'm AOC fan and DF in my opinion have many nice features but....
-they don't have even cb now, no way they release in 2008
-the graphic is dated allot
-i think they got over head whit they'r sandbox project and now they'r struggling whit all they got on hands

don't know about you but when i have playstation 3 i don't want to play games on it that look like they were made for playstation 2 or 1 if we compeer DF graphic to MO(that suppose to lauch 2009 probablly when DF will if it ever will) you get my drift??
