p2p is definitely better. it keeps out people that don't care enough about the game to play it, and it keeps 11 yr olds from playing. it also produces more revenue for the devs, meaning they have more money to continue making the game better.

Exactly what I was thinking. Personally I think p2p games are just made better. It's just a better quality with p2p I personally don't like half assed games that don't come with any new updates or anything of the sort.

If you want F2P, there are plenty of 2D Chinese MMO's out there for you.

I totally agree with you man, also to the guy thinking f2p is good its far from good if they wanted it free to play it would be out right now half a$$ made, like all other free to play maplestory lol archlord (worst game of all time) and so on eve online silkroad.

Yea, the only F2P good games I know are Entropia Universe and ShadowBane (Atlantica Online is pretty good tho, even if it's still on beta stage).

Most of the F2P are just crappy games, with a lame community. It's a good thing to know that MO will be P2P.

I like paying to play. More new stuff, policed better, more mature (to an extent) folks playing it.

P2P isn't a big deal. You make the amount of money you need per month in three hours working at a fast food restaurant, and in less than an hour if you have a 'real' job.

Not all F2P games are bad, things like first person shooters are great for that option. I personally prefer games that are P2P because it not only restricts certain player groups but also offers a service to the player.

F2P means free to play, you don't have to buy anything. First person shooters like CS you buy.
At least thats the legal way...

We are referring to online payment ones like Guild Wars being F2P and WoW being P2P, not simply buying the box since most non-independent / non-web based games are not free.

But remember what kind of MMO Guild Wars is. For me its more like singleplayer game with online servers and thrown in player to player interactions.
