Default Ragdoll

I was thinking and in most MMORPG's characters always die the same way and i was thinking if adding ragdoll deaths would be a good idea (to increase realism)
What do you think?

I think it would be easily attainable especially with the use of the Unreal Engine.

Ragdoll physics are cool and add a little bit more realism to the game.

I like ragdoll and I would welcome it if it were implemented in Mortal Online.
It gives a realistic touch to the dying animations and dont make them look lousy like in games without ragdoll.

I would imagine it's in, but if not... I say let there be ragdoll deaths!

yeah ragdolls death is nice ...

But if the physics is good but other things arent, I dont like it much.

Like receiving the last slash from a sword, being push backside in ur death, but ur body stays intact... no sword slashes or blood.

Even if they werent "ragdolled", was enjoying finishing moves (fatalities) from AoC.

A mix from the 2 maybe ?

It's doable with the U3 Engine, so bring 'em on

I'm pretty sure It'll be done. But why don't we push our expectations alittle bit further and ask for the euphoria engine to be implemented, haha. http://naturalmotion.com

Ragdoll will be good, however, I think it will only make the game feel good if all the animations are sleek and smooth. And, for crying out loud, I would like to see actual collision on the battlefield, as opposed to this whole I swing my sword in your general direction and it hurts you junk. I know it would be difficult, if not impossible, but I would love for projectiles, melee weapons and magic projectiles to have physics applied to them as well.

In which way?
A sword can blocked by another sword with a swing or something like that, a arrow can be deflected by a shield?

The ragdolls introduces physics that will cause lag because of the information of the dead must include like direction, strenght etc... not only the flag of a-plaer-has-death, wich is simple served.
I like ragdolls too, but its complicated in a MMORPG(i think).

Not really. Even in modern day FPS's ragdoll deaths are actualy compleatly client side, so the thing jiggling around on your screen might be in a slightly different position on another user's screen. So the server doesn't bother itself with physics calculations.

Ok, thank you for the explanation.
If that is like you have said, the game must include the ragdoll, the UE3 is a great engine, and that effect will be in keeping with the whole grafics world.
