UO right here. best MMO to date. i played WoW for 3 years on and off (though probably mostly off), but it just wasn't worth my time anymore. i also played FFXI for a few months and guild wars for a few months. anything else i played for a couple weeks max so it isn't worth mentioning.

I've played EQ2, GW and WoW (which I'm still subscribed too). I keep trying to quit but I continue playing mainly for the social aspect, I lost interest in the game mechanics of WoW a long time ago.

I played Ultima Online from 98-99. I recently tried it again with the Kingdom Reborn addition, but game-play is dead. A new paint job isn't going to fix it.
Still easily the best game I have tried (though I have not tried that many). I played WoW for six months or so. For what it is I suppose it is an alright game. Definitely not my taste. Tried a few trials of others recently : Horizons, Star Wars, etc, but haven't found anything to draw me in. I have been following Adellion since mid-2005 and still anxiously await its release. From a role-play standpoint Adellion is easily my first choice, though MO has become my secret hope for a return to a UO style approach. Last edited by Archaaz : 7th September 2008 at 16:50. |

I played Ragnarok Online, Final Fantasy XI, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, Maple Story (sad to say :P), Perfect World, Fly for fun, Rappelz, and a few other free online rpgs.
The last few I didnt play for very long but I would say Rappelz is a good free mmo. FFXI was my favorite of them all. Fun fact. I played over 750 hours in 3 months when I first started. (8.3 hours a day is the average) I'm thinking of UO until MO comes out >.> ::shifty::

Lineage 2 mostly. Have tried some others in the past few years, but non of them appealed to me as much as L2 did when I started out. Played retail and a couple of private servers as well.
Currently I'm not subscribed to any MMO, because tbh non of them are worth my time.

Played Guild Wars (Prophecies and Factions) for a while.
Then I īve changed to Lotro and although I had a short brake I am still playing. The short brake was AoC |

I played UO first. For 4 months then up until WoW I played no MMOs. Since then I played WoW on and off for 3 years. But in that interval I tried EQ2, Runescape, all sorts of Korean MMOs including GW. I tried Tabula Rasa ...none of the games (except Runescape) came close to feel as free and fun as UO. WoW on the other hand, I accepted it for what it is and just used it as hang out with friends and occasional questing or PvPing.
My most recent serious game which I am still subscribed to besides WoW and Runescape is AoC but I hardly play it for it crashes a lot on my comp. |

I have played an armada of F2P MMO's, hoping to find some that could interest me and immerse me the way World of Warcraft did(my first mmo, sadly), but I gave up the hope for that, and matured. Played Vanguard:Saga of Heroes, Lotro, but now only playing Rappelz(because of the guild) and EVE Online.

First UO---->Meridian----->ww2online---->Horizons----->Ryzom---->EVE----->EQ2--->Vanguard------>D&L(rip)---->Conan (rip?).
In that order, still Play ww2online thou, have done so since 2002. i think its the right order /skrachhead. Tried out Vanguard again a few months back it felt realy good now and i had a blast, will go back to it shortly if i can remember my login |

Started with EQ, Asheron's Call, Anarchy Online, DAOC, SWG, Planetside, City of Heroes (City of Making Characters), WoW, EQ2. There were a few others but I didn't play them long enough to really consider it like FFXI and Guild Wars. Not playing another MMO until the next good Sandbox.

I've come from all walks of MMO life. Most of which killed me due to them being shit.
I call UO my home. Played from 1997 to 2003. Quit the day after AoS came out, although I wasn't playing heavily the last year due to the declining population and loss of interest. Atlantic -> Chessy -> Europa -> AOL Legends -> /quit. Since I've played every MMO that has come out it would seem. AC, DAoC, SWG, Anarchy, WoW, Guild Wars, FF, blah blah. I've played tons of small time free MMOs (all of which blow) and a host full of other things that I forget I ever played. WoW really has been the only MMO since it's release that kept me entertained. But even that was in small monthly doses over its life span. PvP was my only draw and now since BC, the world is pretty much dead and all PvP is instanced ... so what's the point? WAR sucks. Badly. I've tried UO Emulated Shards like Hybrid, but they are not that fun. The rules are far different, the community is different, and the games play nothing like the original. I mean the most popular one has rapid fast skill gain, the worst economy I've seen, alchy mages (lol), and no penalty for PKing so every single person you meet is a PK who can sit in town. Talk about carebearish... I'm waiting for Darkfall and MO. They are the only two MMORPGs I hope can save this genre for me. If they fail than I believe they will be the last penned chapters in my MMORPG novel. |

yea, M-Demon... i played on UOG:Hybrid for like 5 years, but it changed a lot. PK's weren't always allowed in town.. after they changed it, bux den was just no fun anymore. they also changed a lot of stuff to make the server more faction/pvp oriented or something, i didn't care for it too much, but i still played it a while before i quit. and yes, the alchy mages/dexxers were just ridiculous with the exp pots....

I played lotro mostly...
I also played runescape a while back (a WHILE BACK)...wow that was a very lame game. Also some of those freebie games: like the ones from aeria games (mostly supreme destiny, a little bit of silkroad online), then i was on a WoW private server for a little while (shhhh don't tell). Also I played Dark Age of Camelot for a while. Can't wait for this one!!!
