Arsonath

Mystic stallion wandering through the plains, when there is no moonlight.

A rumour says that wanderers are bewitched by his flaming mane and blazing eyes and doesn't even notice when this creature rip them in half.
It has a fierce character and it doesn't let anyone to come close or touch it. Arsonath's lustrous horns are almost as hard as diament and far more deadly, so are the obsidian like claws. It's strong yaws with long fangs are used to chew meat and rip flesh from it's prey.

great job rinelin. the drawing is a little dark (it's hard to see any details), but this, in my opinion ofc, is the best overall entry so far. the drawing is pretty good, but more importantly the idea is unique enough to be new, yet not original to the point of absurdity. also, it has a dark tone that fits the MO theme very well. not to mention.. what would MO be without some form of nightmares? (if you didn't play UO, nightmares were sweet ass black horses that were very powerful and could be tamed/mounted).

anyways, good luck, you've got the winning entry in my book, at least as of right now.

Yes, I know it's dark

It would look better with a darker background but somehow I ended up with a white one... And the orginal pic is 1440x1134 big, so with resizing and compressing the details got blurred :/

Now this is great. The image however desperately screams for a dark and eerie forest in the background

I could imagine this kind of creature in the game, bringing some horror elements - plus a real cool mount only the best tamers could tame. Good work, and please try to work on the background, it would really make a big difference!

Fantastic, Rinelin! I agree with Catmorbid, it would be wonderful (and frightening) to be wandering through a dark forest and spy this creature moving toward you. Bravo!

I also think the name is perfect for this beast.

A dragon stallion is what I am seeing. Very scary to find one of those in a dark forest to be sure.

I like it. My first thought was of a nightmare from UO but it's still original. Plus I would love for there to be some type of nightmare in MO.
