Default Can you turn off the GUI?

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere ...

Is there a command to get rid of the HUD / GUI ? I thought there was a way to do it a few patches ago. Can't find it now

Thanks.

A long time ago you used to be able to do it by pressing ALT+Z, no way right now.

Yeah, that's what I thought... and was my Plan B.

Youtube vids are best at 1280 x 720 for widescreen, if you have a high enough resolution on your monitor you should be able to crop out GUI at the top and bottom and still have a good quality final. Assuming you are using something like Adobe Premiere or Aftereffects to do the editing.

If SV wants some better movies in the future, we really need to be able to turn off the interface to get a clean full screen image...

I just use 1280x768 and crop it so it's wide screen. It looks nice while not killing your FPS.

I'm running at 1280x1024 for filming. This gives you the desired width by default while giving you just enough room to crop out the entire top and bottom of the UI, giving you a 720 pixel height. End result is a 1280x720 HD movie with no UI.

That's good, it makes it easier to crop.

I have nothing on this computer to show visual representations so bear with me.

Code:
UIUIUIUIUI
WIDESCREEN
UIUIUIUIUI
When you crop this out in widescreen, you either get in the UI or you lose a lot of space on the sides and FPS loss due to that. It doesn't help the video.

Code:
UIUIUIUI
STANDARD
STANDARD
UIUIUIUI
When this is croped, you get almost all of the area that does not contain the UI. There is no wasted FPS loss.
