Aquatic themed expansions are always a + in my book, hence my undying love for ToA for DAoC (besides the unbalancing it brought to the game). So, +1 for boats; here's to hoping MO has them!

By the way the giant squid looks honestly scary. I started getting worried when I was being chased by sharks in DF (I was in a raft).

Totally empty world, waaay too low playerbase and waaay too big world for it.

Every player in the game are specialized in the class of warriorpriestroguemagearcherminercraftergatherer.

And still, almost every "player town" is premade...


I'm not not saying that the game itself sucks, but the system truly does... No skill cap, harry potter online and their own engine issues and that leads to the timeframe they release patches which sucks.

The crafting and other stuff is good but yea... You just can't compete anymore.

I don't really see anything in this patch what would fix this...

Sure it's cool stuff for the existing players but it's the same schaisse for new players still.

Sharks are easy, first time i was like WTF IM DIEING. Then you notice they only hit once every 10mins because they cant aim shit.
I still shit my pants when i come across the red dragon while im walking/mounted.

i havent played this yet, but i lol'd @

Wildlife:
  • Random moving wildlife creatures for you to hunt down and skin have been added.
  • There’s a small chance of them dropping epic loot.
how can rabbits get there hands on epic loot.. rofl.

They found it, besides who says that rabbits are also carrying epic items they didnt mention wich ones are able to drop them. Maybe its a giant mutated bear who killed an adventurer but is stuck with an epic sword in his body waiting for you to finish him off.
Or maybe the testicels of deers and rabbits are epic?

I'm really tired of games making monsters more difficult by following the same exact 2 steps.

step 1: give it more HP/defense
step 2: make it do more damage

The fight LOOKS interesting, but it's the same old PvE damage race...keep your HP above 0 and hit it til it dies..repeat. It could stay under water more and attack the ship forcing the players to fight it under water, it could swim to avoid attacks from the surface and pop up on the other side, forcing players to watch it's movement and keep track of its location so they can plan the next attack.

This.

World of Warcraft has been doing good job on this one tough, the bosses have actual tactics but after you kill it few times it gets old. Expect if the encouter is really long.

Arrows do nothing to Kraken, you need to hit it with ship cannons.

Guy probably didn't knew that, or didn't knew that cannons now require black powder to shoot. Kraken and new requirement for shooting cannons are in game since 8AM today.

Sure, expansion/patch made ships cheaper, but you would still need tremendous balls to take 4 ships for Kraken hunting :-)

I agree, it was so repetitive, Its ok having an epic mob like that but if the AI sucks it may as well just be a goldfish :P

I think it looks cool actually, games need more water encounters.
Though, the fight looked kinda boring, considering there werent much tactic present, just shoot the canons.

Then again, I don't know if you have to do something special.

DF was always a fun game, kept visiting the MO forums and such while playing it with the feeling that DF was kind of like the beta of what MO is trying to be always in anticipation of MO. Good ideas to start and then build upon them. After being part of the Beta of MO since block B, I am actually looking forward to trying DF again after the changes since i left while i wait to see how MO will turn out with time.

this expansion actually sounds like an expansion! the previous one was just a big patch imho.
