Here's my entry: My Brother Unforgiven.
Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kSmDHOVxCw (it's in HD also) I've taken inspiration from the old spaghetti westerns such as a Fistful of Dollars by Sergio Leone. Enjoy! Last edited by Lumper : 12th December 2009 at 11:04. |

I liked this one as well. Since it was more of a "Chaplin" style movie, I might have edited it with black&white style and some colour enhancements. Authentic video, good job!

great! good mood. the only thing i missed was a hitting or crunching noise when he hit him.
and maybe some text. and maybe just maybe it was best to end the scene when he was charging his weapon on him, before he was hitting him.

One of my favorite movies is "Once Upon a Time in The West" so I definetly appreciate the style you're going for here, but the ending seemed a little anticlimactic. Maybe if you at least played the sound of him dieing, or showed the ragdoll laying over the bloodstain briefly.

I understand what you mean about the end - however I was hoping that the off-screen, implied violence would be enough.
The other reason for not showing the death scene was that I was trying to show only images that accentuated a sense of realism or immersion. Some flying blood with the arm swinging down might have worked and would have been particularly gruesome, but the limitations of the short time frame to complete and the availability of actors on short notice came into play... maybe next time! And thanks everyone for the great and constructive feedback so far |

SERENITY NOW!
Sorry, seinfeld moment, but great vid, i like the whole feel and build up. I think you should do like a continuation where the next part will be more "evil", like the first part was serene and was building up to something and the next part will be a lil more fast paced and heavier music. Nicely done and want to see the next part.

Very good. I especially liked your use of camera views. They made it feel much more "real" in the sense that you're actually trying to tell a story, instead of just showing some recorded and edited gameplay.
I agree with the others who said the ending was anticlimatic. Nevertheless, a very good entry in my opinion

Awesome, just awesome.
My current favourite, loved the editing, the camera angles, the feeling of actually watching a story unfold. Bravo sir, bravo. All we need now is for someone to do a comedy voice-overed machinima entry and we will have it all Flint |
