Refer a friend – this is how it works!
If you would like to refer a friend to Mortal Online, you will need to give your email address to him/her to get the 15 day bonus. Your friend needs to type your email in the field Referrer. If your friend already has an account, they will need to click Edit Details and type your mail as the Referrer and update. Once your friend has bought the game, your will be registered as the referrer. If your friend does not have an account, a new account has to be created (https://account.mortalonline.com/account/new.php). All the information needs to be filled in, and at the bottom of the page your mail should be typed as Referrer. This is limited to 2 referrals per account (if you have purchased the game, you will be able to refer two persons and collect a total bonus of 30 days of game time). The bonus will be awarded AFTER your referred friend has played her first month. Spoiler for account page:

Obviously, an e-mail address can be compared automatically and then direct beneficial actions for the target account taken. Or they'd mail a link to the mail target, which will provide a bonus upon clicking it.

edit. Ok my bad. I thought you could refer two people with each account thus making groups of 3 people where each one gets the free month. Now it seems more reasonable to me.

The original post says those who already have an account can Edit Details and add a referrer. Also, where I read this first, stated that the referral only works if your "friend" also buys the game. I don't see that in this OP, though.

Still wondering which mail adress I have to use for this to work, e.g.:
- the one you use for the forum - the one you use for the shop - any random address that you create at will Also, can you e.g. have two accounts and make referrals to eachother ?

Would be nice if the referral included a free-trial first for your friends, and then if a trial account activated by you upgrades you get the extra month.

Thanks for your estimate, and I would guess the same since it makes sense.
But really, I would want an official reply too since it being part of the commercial (aka money) side of the game is an important issue to clarify.

Now we have this currently and after release, and you suggest we should only have it after release? |

I dont think you would want to beta test using my friends. They are not very patient. In fact they would probably be irritated enough at paying for beta that they would beat me to death so I will pass if its all the same to you hehe.

All other games got at least a month as reward (Not to mention various ingame stuff), but I guess MO is so unique that even here it felt the need to go vs the main stream. Thanks for the generous offer, but I'll pass

You can download the client - for free.
You can set up a game account - for free. You can play the game - for free. I really don't see the issue here.

Ther eis no referal yet..its free to dowload and play as its in Beta. If you wish to play create an account and download the client and keep in mind its in Beta and is being tested and refined into a working game.

So far I mentioned this game to 3 of my friends and had them download it, every one of them said they wont play it and Surely Will Not buy it; Why? One thing, Snooping and pilfering.
They Didnt say griefing, hardcore pvp, getting everything on you taken when you die, lack of content, no economy, graphical errors, bugs, gameplay, character creation, game mechanics, character classes, skill grinds, lack of tutorials, naked people everywhere, skill tree complexity or crafting complexity. People are discounting Everything else in the game and/or not even bothering to look at any of it because of snooping. Its absolutely rediculous that 1 ability in the game that Isnt Even PVP related is turning people away. I find it very dissapointing you guys dont seem concerned with the 1 element of a game that has Nothing to do with pvp turning people away from the game and cant believe your not disabling snooping till you can implement it in a fashion that doesnt have the potential in and of itself to destroy the game or people joining it. |

I agree with the snooping and pilfering problem. You just have no action to do when someone is snooping you than run everywhere as a crazy person. Snooping and pilfering must be really hard and must be limited. Eg.: Being near any source of light will let it harder to pilfering. Must take into account the number of people near the thief. And so on. Thievery must be hard and away from crowds and only outside the city. Snooping on city and banking area must by instant guard.
