Woah, I'm getting 8 mbs download speed with the client.

EDIT - Nevermind, I take it all back, now downloading next step (patch 211719b.exe) at 7 kbs... fucking fuck.

i downloaded all the patches and they are installed.(0to5- 5to19- 19to20-20to21) but i think my launcher or updater is out of date.cuz i allways get the time out error even if i try 453345 times.what should i do?

help please it starting piss me off.(i pre-ordered)

Read the OP of the very thread you're posting in and download the newer launcher.

I highly recommend that italian update thingy and utorrent (original post). Updating was surely at least 10 times faster for me this way.

When I use a torrent for the patches. I've goten "software not found" each time. I've tryed installing dif versions of the launcher before using the patches. I've DL multi dif torrents for each patch. Each time geting the same error. HELPS!

I got that problem too, if you put the patch into X:\Program Files(x86)\Star Vault\Mortal Online\mortalonline folder, it worked for me there. If you're not running a 64-bit OS it'd just be Program Files, or wherever you so happened to install your game to. Hope that helps.

I downloaded the thing off the Italian website and everything's patched now (3 days worth of downloading/patching/installing), it's ready to run....except it says d3dx10_41.dll was not found

Is this this the part where I need to download the other 5 things?

EDIT: no surprise, the dx download works, yay!

If you have windows vista you have to run the launcher as an administrator.

I haven't been able to get into the game since day two... I deleted everything and grabbed that Italian patcher - and now the game is merrily updating at a decent speed (for me)... no need to go to utorrent for the updates so far! Thanks for the thread, it's helping.

Yea I'm on Windows 7 and was getting a message stating a "Web exception occured: unable to reach remote server" I ran as Admin and it started working fine.

I downloaded the Italian launcher mirror but now the launcher comes up with an error in the lower right hand corner saying: Download Error! Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Star Vault\Mortal Online\patches' is denied. What going on here? EDIT!!!!!::: Nevermind, read the post stating that for Vista i have to run as admin, pay no attention to this reply!!!

I still as of 2/14/10 cannot get this game to work after 3 days of attempting to patch, on 2 different computers. I get the following error on both d3dx10-41.dll was not found?? Why do all the good looking games have to be such a pain in the ass to start up? I have played all the MMO's and only had troubles like this with conan.
Is this a directx problem? all the none IT gamers could use a hand with getting this game working, I still see alot of posts with people having problems. 3 of us here trying to get the game downloaded and we have been unable to get into the actual game after trying for 3 days.

I don't know what you're doing but the patcher doesn't even initialize the directx library. Sounds more like your issue is with the game itself after pressing play.

managed to get all patched up and everything, let me click play then i got this error

This application has failed to start because d3dx10_41.dll was not found.
Re-installin the application may fix this problem.
then it says
nowGame.exe has stoped working.

i dont want to reinstall since it will make me patch up again.

any help?

If you have the patches backed up any where reinstall and then place them in C:\Program Files\Star Vault\Mortal Online\mortalonline then have it update and all you have to do is wait for it to install the updates again, only takes a little bit.

I don't really know if this IS a launcher problem but,
Everytime I press play I get the error that "log4boost_Release.dll" is missing.
they say that if I reinstal the program / game it might be solved but I think that resolves in patching everything again, and i kinda wanna avoid that.

NVM i found it.. same shit, different launcher. I start it,
it autostarts the updater.exe - ERROR: The opperation have timed out.

OH LOL, the italian shit is for 64bit windows only.. great.

Installed patches manualy, all of them.. "Error: Unable to connect to remote server"
MO is on firewall exceptions.

Both of the launcher and updater is terribly broken, it's pretty insane too see that community members haves to find a fix themselves instead of the Star Vault Team fails to realize that it is impossible for many of us new testers who terribly wants to test this game is let out of it, at this point.. I am certainly concerned about this game as I really want to test it but no proper help or fix is given.

The issue the people are having is because it's the old launcher. Once you get the new one running, the issue will go away. Keep running updater until it does make a connection.. it will eventually. The old patch server is just overloaded.

I'm the launcher programmer so I typically respond to most of the problems concerning it. If you read the support forum I'm all over the launcher posts.. hell I'm the OP of this one too.

Well extracted all the files into the mortalonline folder, ran the updater, got the latest version of the launcher and...

Possibly because that's an old copy of the launcher files (unless they update their zip, which I'm not sure they do). Running updater is the way to get the most recent one.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I ran the updater and it downloaded the latest launcher. Then the launcher appeared and tried to download 0t5 patch. As usual, it timed out after a minute.
