About Us:

The history talks a lot about our back story but currently the clan is eagerly awaiting Mortal Online. We are a PvP/conquest/empire focused clan with a smaller but no less important emphasis on crafting and PvE. The clan is currently focused on rebuilding our ranks and planning in preparation for the game. Recruitment is open so please apply.

General Rules:

Crush those who oppose us through active PvP. We can be a friend to many but those that do not yield will be run over. We don't taunt in chat but you will know we are there. Our deeds and acts cannot be ignored.

Treat clan members with dignity and respect. If you are having issues with a member, please contact a clan leader. We give each other a hard time and joke around, but there are lines not to cross.

Be on time to meetings and events. Let leadership know ahead of time if you will be unable to attend. We have weekly events: game tournaments, trivia and etc. Events are planned across a wide-range of time zones.

Help members out. If you are an expert, share your knowledge. If you are a newcomer, don't be afraid to ask for aid. The clan is here to help you to an extent. Remember though, ask not what your guild can do for you; ask what you can do for your guild.

Be focused but relaxed. We know we are all different types of gamers, but we also want to play and achieve. The FRC has a history of getting things done, that is not something that is going to change.

Remaining Active:

Members must log on to the website at least once a week and be active and knowledgeable in forum responses and conversation. This is a community just as active on our website as in-game, join in and participate!

Members must be active in-game. If no one knows you, you don't talk in the in-game chat, etc; you are not active enough. Swear we don't bite, well at least most of us.

All members must be on the ventrillo server when playing in groups and for meetings/events, even if it is just to listen. If you can play a modern MMO, you can run ventrillo. Come in and listen to the carnage.

Ranks:

Promotion Policy:

All new recruits go through a 2 week trial period. They remain cannon fodder for those two weeks, until they get promoted. Die for the glory of the clan!!

Promotion to Member is given after the trial period based on acceptance into the clan proper. Acceptance in the clan is earned by us, The FRC, making sure you are not a bottom feeder. Overall feeling of members dictates this.

Elder Member is a rank bestowed on members that have shown loyalty and dedication to the clan. They are the elite of the membership and are well trusted and liked. Elder members are up for selection to be leaders of a warfare squad.

Captain promotion are handed out based on need for division leaders at the time of promotion. Loyalty to the clan, knowledge, activity, popularity, and etc are all required traits. They are are chosen by Guild Officer(s) and Guild Leader(s).

Promotions to Council are rare. To be promoted to a council member position takes a long term commitment, a multiple month membership in the clan minimum. Among other requirements. Which include expert knowledge of game mechanics and/or the ability to translate leadership ability effectively within a game environment.

Guild Leader. Promotions to Guild Leader are a gift from god to be cherished forever. A person that has to ask to be Leader will never be given it, ever.

Public Notification of The FRC Schedule & Updates:

Some of the topics listed below will be coming to fruitation concurrently. The list is not one after the other. At the end of every item you can find a completion estimate. As updates are made the progress bars will be updated, along with any teasers, screenshots and new descriptions that may apply.

Complete Website Overhaul. Out with the old and in with the new. We will be transitioning to a Flash based website. Been on the to-do list for months, and now seems a more than appropriate time to begin work on it. Can expect to see updates concerning this soon and a finished product in the month or so. It will be retaining the frostreaver.com domain name.

Update 10/09: Website overhaul has been postponed. Still in the works but it is further down the road than a progress bar would really be reasonable for. Our current website is fine in the interim.

Percent Complete: N/A

Video/Trailer Services. Once the FRC video is complete, we will be offering our services in the creation of other clan's videos. If you are at a lost when it comes to movie editting software, you do not have the time to create your own video, and/or would like help, look to us! Free of Charge. Start of this service is tied to the completion of FRC's own trailer.

UPDATE 10/09: This service is nearing the point where it can open it's doors. Can look forward to more info in the near future! Remember as well, this is done free for the community. If you guild, your organization, your alliance needs or wants a video and you don't have the time or ability to make one... Follow this space for details!!

Percent Complete:

FRC Administered News Website. Player News to be specific. Roleplay journalists if you will. Not forum based, think of a newspaper for the world of Mortal. Letters to the Editor maybe though. Website will consist of topics that involve the players, guilds and the world that relate to the ever evolving lore of Nave. This is something that has been on the horizon forever. Next two to four weeks should see something more of this. If you are interested in this venture, if you want to give your assistance, or would just like more information, don't hesitate to ask.

UPDATE 12/8: Website has been released! We are glad to announce that it is now featured through a link on the official MO website and you can find a forum thread about the website in the community discussion board. You can visit the website directly at http://www.navenews.net. News is released as the current staff has time to write articles, also as a note, news at this moment is slower due to the game not yet being publicly released.

Percent Complete:

Updated Charter/Bible. Note I say updated charter. The guild by-laws do need refining above and beyond the current guild bible, but not a wholesale change. The guild bible as laid out is a great framework, always was and continues to be. We will not be making any big changes, only "accommodations" related to new information that has been released/discovered about MO and due to other circumstances. Refining here, adding there, trimming there? Yes. Slash and burn? No. In-guild discussion at our next meeting, and a public post to follow soon. As a note to members, meeting is tomorrow, Sunday. Be there if you can, I'll be there. It will be on the Teamspeak 2 Server. Due to short notice though, if you are not able to make it this week, no worries. We will be having another next week, and regularly there after.

UPDATE 10/09: This will be discussed during Sunday's Meeting. Expecting a healthy turn-out and it will be a good chance to get some adjustments and updates done.

Misc Items. Ah yes, the ever present, misc. Ya never know when something else might come up. Got a lot on our plate presently and at this point all I can say is the more the merrier.

Hey all MO fans, welcome to the FRC forum post! Now let me talk about what we want for you when in this guild, and for most other people including ourselves .Number 1 thing : Please make this game a non - Warhammer and a non - Age of Conan game..i want it to be something completely different. I want this game to actually have end game content as soon as the game comes out, and judging by this being from Epic Games( well thats one of their partners ) It should be good. Plus Epic Games did make Gears of War, and that game was kickass. I've seen things about the combat system which seem really cool, and somewhat seem really complicated at the same time...but we have yet to see that, plus i didnt read them all that thoroughly, was only a quick glance. While the game is still in the early stages of development and it looks extremely promising, I must say from the warm welcome everyone has extended the community looks even more promising. With a community base like this it can take the game to a whole new level of competition, game play and just overall feeling of community play that's hard to get in other games.

My thanks to all and good luck on your endeavors both in and out of the game.

Yup community is great here, Nite.

Lot of great, friendly folks around the Mortal Online boards and the IRC. For the most part MOFO is a world apart compared to a lot of forums in that regard. *cough*ForumFall*cough*

Of course saying that though, I'm sure that once the game launches some of us will become sworn enemies in-game, but for the moment... we're on friendly, helpful terms.

Notice:

The FRC is looking for members and officers with experience or a willingness to learn to lead, from Europe/UK and Oceania.

Frostreaver Clan started out as a NA based clan 5 years ago, but the decision has been made to branch out into as many time-zones as possible. A successful guild in Mortal Online is going to require a wide-range of members across many different timezones. Being able to defend cities and territory around the clock is going to be a huge advantage to any guild that can boast a global membership. Therefor the FRC is open to and welcomes members that are located across the ponds in Europe/UK and Oceania. Only together can we achieve a goal of maintaining permanent territory in MO.

We are hoping to get ~2 officers from Europe/UK and ~2 from Oceania. Then of course like I said, people that just want to be members and want to partake in some of the crazy nonsense we sometimes find ourselves in, are welcome as well.

Requirements for Officers:

English Speaking
High Play Time
Dedication
Initiative
Microphone/Vent

Frostreaver Clan started out as a NA based clan 5 years ago, but the decision has been made to branch out into as many time-zones as possible. A successful guild in Mortal Online is going to require a wide-range of members across many different timezones. Being able to defend cities and territory around the clock is going to be a huge advantage to any guild that can boast a global membership. Therefor the FRC is open to and welcomes members that are located across the ponds in Europe/UK and Oceania. Only together can we achieve a goal of maintaining permanent territory in MO. We are hoping to get ~2 officers from Europe/UK and ~2 from Oceania. Then of course like I said, people that just want to be members and want to partake in some of the crazy nonsense we sometimes find ourselves in, are welcome as well.
