love the idea but i dont think a guild would want their keep on a map and probably arent gonna give it up so fast as saying they will give it to you and let everyone know where it is even though most people already know a vague idea of the keeps in game they cant pinpoint it

Woot! My third sticky in here! =)
I updated the second post with a little guide on how to send me intel. I was going to include pictures for each step by step for the slower of you guys, but I am to lazy. If you need any help just hit me up and I'll help you. It is really easy, but if you are new to that stuff it might be a bit confusing. Later I might include some pictures in the guide.

I think we can all agree that the general area outside of Morin Khur, nearly to Kranesh, is under Myrm control. Not that we are interested in territory control....but no one contests us....well...CIR attacked Myrmopolis in an utter failure.
It was this past weekend and we ended up camping Syndic after his "tactical retreat"..... |

I don't think any single guild has "Total Area Control" as you have put it, rather there are areas that they are more frequently found, and therefore that area is usually under their control. Without an actual territory the political map should look more like a "Heat Map" and not a flat out division of land.
You also put the Prometheus keep in the wrong valley.

This is what I tried to do at first. I agree the idea of a heat map is best, but either I don't know what the fuck I am doing or something... It turned out like shit. Likely I just don't know how to do one right. On the EVE map it works well because there is no background to the map. On this one there are just to many colors and shit I just couldn't get it to work.

Claiming territory isnt the same as 'passing through there, ganking some people before running off again' Myrms territory is where there house is, the area people build in is where they have said 'This is were we place our mark'.
Not saying Myrmidon loose all their encounters, but painting more of the map red because they have occasionally fought there wouldnt make sense to me. Myrmidon are a bandit guild as I understand it, bandits operate in other peoples territory. That doesnt mean they own that territory. For example, Myrm might breach the peace in Bakti as listed above but that doesnt put them in control of the area. |

What i fail to see is almost all of the guilds/alliances that own territory on the map here besides Myrm and TOP Alliance is never around to defend their houses/keeps.
Like at our house spot we have been attacked 2 times now i think (at least when i have been online) and we have crushed the trespassers. But when we go to Promethean territory to fight, theres absolutely noone there. So how can they own that area ? The only place a guild/guilds actually fights for their territory is at Cave Camp.

About all the request for Myrm areas to be from their Myrmitropolis all the way out to Kranesh and even up to Fab. Not going to do that. Those are just raiding parties, like you see in any other game. If you had a lot of your guys living out of Kranesh and maintaining clear dominance of the area over most of the day, or even a house up there, I'd do so, but you don't. You just have a lot of raids up there. Same for the above Prom poster saying they maintain dominance of well... the whole south. I know I am not the smartest dude around, or even all that bright, but as far your presumption that I am dumb enough to willingly subject myself to the massive bitch fest that would fly my way for some of those claims... fuck off. lol

Your map is correct Bevo.
As we stated before, Prometheus territory is from the Desert Horses outside the Tunnel, to the Bakti Plateau. In short, exactly the area you marked on the map. As a "Sphere of Interest" we view the three towns that Elchez listed, and indeed those guilds live in those towns, but no "dominion" is in our interest. Nobody can really claim that they "own" a blue town. Also, there's currently no reason for us to be around the Keep area because: a) No crafting benches can be put in the Keep (tried) b) Palisade walls are bugged and disappear every server crash (tried 3 times) Once SV gives some actual purpose to Keeps and fixes our palisades, I'm sure things will change. |

There isn't much point in hanging around keeps until they provide individual storage options other than building houses around the keep. If there was a banker like in the NPC cities then it would be a different story.
