Lets talk pigs for a moment. This is true for a majority of in game creatures but lets stick with pigs.
You attack a pig and it then either runs away or attacks you. If it attacks you can't really see it's face for the rest of the fight since it is kissing your toes. also the animations in the fight...where are they? In this day and age we should expect at least a few different attacks from each creature we fight. There should also be a slight distance between our avatar and the creature so we can see it. And animations...we should see at least 2 full animations per creature for their different attacks or to show a recoil from our incomming attacks. And last but not least is the angles a creature attacks at. I still see a pig looking in the opposite direction while attacking me. Is he attacking me with his ass? eeewwww....that's just wrong...pig ass attack |

Yeah, I have talked to henrik about it and from what I can understand they need to get the update/patch from Epic that should fix the AI and some other shit. Might be wrong.

My thought here may be more sweeping than artificial intel but it all follows the same concept. You should be able to see the creature. The creature should have animations combined with unique attacks plural....meaning more than one. It comes back to fun factor. Just hoping they step it up a little. I am not asking for heavily scripted stuff like Everquest two or World of Warcraft did with boss fights that lasted 20 minutes with several stages. All I am asking for is some smart creature actions and movements both based on what you do and what they are supposed to do. |

Agreed,
Also creatures need to behave with more realism. Springboks should almost never "stand and fight", hell they should run before you even get close to them and there should be no chance a player can keep up with them they should be much faster than a man on foot. |

The amount of calculations these AI do is really stunning...if you watch the code.. but everything is still wasted since the pathfinding ain't complete. That's what we are waiting for, once we get the better version you will see a HUGE change.
