First of all, i hope this thread doesn't get deleted by Starvault.

This poll is an attempt of measuring the size of the current customer base of Mortal Online.

It will end in 7 days.

We need to know what's happening since every week now we see more and more players complaining about empty world, no people to play with, so im just worried that this might be the beginning of the end of MO.

If you have an active subscription and are actively playing mortal, please let us non-customers know. Tell your guildies to come vote too...

These polls, how informative they might sound, are too inaccurate to measure.

- Not every player visits this forum,
- Not every player that does visit this forum reads your topic
- Not every player that reads your topic is interrested to vote.

Let alone players that vote the opposite for whatever silly reasons they have (just to mess up the statistics for one).

Oh.. and this topic will probably get deleted for showing false info that way.

How about SV let us know this, or even better do it like EVE does, its very interesting to know how many peeps play MO.

(Right now i dont feel its an empty world, if you know the right places for the right action, you can always have alot fun at any daytime, sometimes i wish some less peoples where at some spots...).

This can never be an accurate statistic (even when you don't count the not everyone votes and not everyone votes the real one) when it is in public, it needs to be in customer or it will be mostly trolls who vote

It should, but Maveriq is on the outside looking in now, and is going to try to remain relevant as a troll. His only concern for the game is in bashing it.

Like others have said, polling on a game forum is historically inaccurate and of very limited usefulness. In a public forum, anyone can vote, whether they play or not, making it even less valid.

Mark my words, no matter what the "results" of the poll are, Mav will spin it in a negative way.

You're probably going to get "maybe" 2-5% of the population of MO to vote in this. Like an above poster mentioned, only a small part of MO checks the forums, and of those that do check the forums an even smaller fraction of those are going to bother looking in a "public discussion" area that is usually just a bunch of trolls.

Same for IRC. Not that many of the people from in game are always on IRC. I'm on IRC maybe half the time, and pretty damn active in the MO Community.

Polls can be pretty accurate, specially on small communities.

Let's say you are right, and we are only going to get 5% of the pop to vote.

Right this moment, some hours after the poll started, we already have 76 voters saying "Yes". Thats 5% of 1500 players. 1500 sounds pretty generous if compared to what it feels ingame in terms of population at any given time...

So no, i think you are wrong... i think we will have a pretty accurate result in the end of the poll, with 80%+ people voting.

All you subscribers have to do is come and vote to show everyone you are out there, and that Mortal is still alive.

My time zones seem busy when I play. I intentionally play really late here quite a bit so that it's quieter when I go to hunt.

There are times when it seems almost no one is around. There are times when you cannot move through town in Meduli due to how many people are there.

Ill always say that there should be more people in game. For when there are too many people, the world will grow, or a server will open, or both.

Only a small part of the game population use the forum and IRC. An even smaller part will vote to this poll.

These threads are getting old real fast. If your not happy with server population, go play something else. If you would play this game, you would know there is a lot of people playing it 24/7. Now, of course, if you need 10 people in every square meter to be happy, I'm afraid you will be disapointed with every games.

If there isn't enough people in your town, move to another one. There are desert town even in WoW...

Call it a rage quit, but as a bow crafter..well frankly I can't craft. I have had bows, money, and books stolen from me constantly. I even have 100 INT. I don't see how thieves are complaining about weight.

Well, it's not really quitting. I'm waiting till they fix thievery. It's just a game breaker in it's current state. I'm waiting for word from guild mates to play when if they fix it.

I'd recomend you to quit. I believe the only way you could be happy with thievery is if it is removed from the game all together. From everything I have seen from you, I am curious how you ever thought MO would be the kind of game you would like.

No, the validity is based on knowing the percentages and frequency, which no one will.

It's based not only on the small percentage of players that go to the forums regularly, but also on the even smaller overall percentage of players that go to a lesser viewed parts of that forum (the Public part).

lol another, "This game isn't for you" To bad I've been here since block B. I think I would of figured that out a long time ago if I didn't like it. I support the idea of thievery in the game, and defiantly support keeping it. Just needs balance, excuse me if I dislike broken mechanics : P. I actually love this game, and is exactly a kind of game I do like.

kind of the way i feel, but im still toughing it out for now. Was surprised with the release of thievery. Thought they were going to be more creative than "its harder now." Was disappointed with the counterattacks as well, thought it would have come with an animation at least. Anyways, still playing for now. Hoping like always that the next patch is better than the last. Eventually ill get more and more tired of it if they aren't.

There are already polls like this in the customer section.
As some pointed out: Having this in a section where everybody who visits the forums can vote skewes the data even more than the statistical problems a poll like this has anyways.
