Just a simple survey of the community; I want to know how many people are currently guilded, and how many or not, so please in the poll click on which one you are in.

At this point in time I suspect that the majority of the players are guilded, with only a handful of lone players doing anything in-game.

I think there are still a TON of solo players despite the massive guilds that are starting to take shape.

I would certainly hope that MO has a healthy solo population, however I am preparing for the worst.

I would say if you are in a guild you are automatically a guild player.

a guild player yes since your in a guild but that doesnt mean tho you cant be also a solo player there a many reason why someone can be in a guild and still be a lonewolf and solo player

I won't really argue this further, it's my personal stance that if one is in a guild, all are in a guild; since it's very typical that resources trickle down to all of the characters, not just the one in a guild. Yes you can say anything is possible, however on average these special cases are not even worth considering.

Though again, that's my personal stance on things, and it's entirely up to you if you agree with it, and follow those same rules, or disagree and instead have your own version. I would imagine that every GM shares a very similar stance to their members.

Nice idea, im guessing there is a 3 to 1 ratio to people who are guild and those who arent.

so your saying if your in a guild your automaticly a group player do everythign with guilds and can not be an solo player? sorry if you think that way but thats not the case at all. just looking in RL at history provides enough answers. like i said there a many reasons why people choose to be in a guild or are in a guild but yet are solo players
but ok everyone got there own opinion and thoughts. i respect that

I will probably join a guild later, one that does not require tribute or crafting characters. For now, I am content tweaking my character skills. I do not want the burden or needs of other players on my shoulders at this time. I am certain once I am spec'd to my satisfaction I shall join a guild just for fun hopefully, since the world of MO is lacking in things to do. My opinion not fact.

I'm surprised by the number of lone wolf votes right now, I honestly thought it was going to be a lot more biased right from the onset. Though; there is still plenty of time to let it sit.

from the first 50 odd votes, a 40% solo player base, that is quite amazing. I dont think anyone was expecting that.

@Xhodan: why do you feel the need to unnecessarily complicate things? Whichever one you feel you represent better, vote it, or not, you could simply leave the thread. Either way, there is no need to complicate things for little or no reason.

I can assure you that it is not 40%. It is just the fact that alot of guilds don't bother scanning the forums. Usually polls like these need to be taken with a grain of salt (Unless they are weeks old).

Yes, the most players that open the forum are solo players, guilds are in TS and there is a person that update them with info

Lol, the guild is the reason why to play. I could not play any MMO without a guild for more than 2 weeks.

MMO with out a guild is lame IMO. Guilds do events, sozialising, goals...

Bear in mind that whilst very few people are likely to begin in a guild and then go lone wolf; lots of people will begin as lone wolves before joining a guild.

I understand what you mean, but personally I joined a guild just before playing the game, so that I would enjoy it from the start. I really do prefer to play in a guild than as a lone wolf, dunno why lol.

Oh I don't doubt that a lot of people will line up a guild ahead of playing; just as many will join the game because guildmates in other MMOs are playing.

But for a lot of players coming to the game, their first experience will be as a lone wolf. And I suspect more players move from lone wolf to guild across their time in game, than the other way around.

This for sure is an interesting come-out which nobody expected.

But then, for myself I can say that I got too much trouble IRL to play frequently enough to be of any use for a guild, but instead rather once a while hop in only to have a look at newly patched changes. Yet, despite not being guilded right now I am a guild player, at least as soon as I can play properly again.

I am sure that currently many are "playing MO" like me even without RL issues, e.g. for reasons of waiting for enough game content to enjoy playing again. Thus I would say that the current survey might not be representative for the player types we have but only for the current status.

Still a good survey, props to Shinzon for it.

i lone wolfed for 3 or 4 weeks, now im in the process of joining a guild.
the game should be the reason to play.....
but to not be able to play a GAME without other people means someone needs to get some RL social interaction quickly.

Im a solo palyer but for those of you in guilds to try to imagine palying alone, simply remove the whole keep aspect of your gameplay, remove the vent chat aspect and remove the teaming up aspect and thats what your left iwth. It is the ultimate in hardcore gameplay

but lacks features.

why is everyone so surprised by this number? did everyone expect most people will be in a guild? game is still pretty new most people will start out solo learn the ropes of the game level/skill there character before they join an guild. of course there are people that join a guild right away but i think that most of the time people will start solo and than join a guild and since the game is still new yes there still plenty of solo players no real surprise here

I have been playing mostly solo. A couple of my friends started the game with me, but have opted to not re-sub. I still enjoy the game, so I will sub for a while to see how the game progresses.

I would like to join a guild, but I would like to know the guild's reputation and play style before I join them. Prior to the addition of displayable guild tags, it was difficult to get to know who was in what guild, and what their style was.

It is pretty clear with last sets of patches that SV is taking this game towards mainly guild related content. Hopefully I'll find a suitable guild to join in the coming weeks.

For MO I am solo, but I have a good community that I hang out with from another game, they just don't play MO. I think everyone should at least have a good community to belong to whether it be a guild, corp, or even in game like what formed around Bakti during Beta.

I am really surprised at how much of the population has voted Solo though. I would have thought 1/3 at most would be solo by this point, but was way off.
