i upgraed my computer for MO, and i updated all my drivers, my Video Card is a radeon HD 6600, 25k intel core processor, and i start MO from the launcher and after i click allow for it to run, it closes, saying: Mortal Online has unexpectedly stopped working, trying to resolve... and it just closes then...
- does firewall matter? - does the blue VGI monitor cable has to connect the port from my video card or any port, ( i have two blue ports, not sure which is directly from my video card) every thing is new, so do i have to install any Directx, etc?

how hard is it for you guys to add a checkup procedure at the start of MO launcher to check if directx is installed and needed nvidia physics driver, visual C++ dependencies as well as .net framework, and warn the user if one of them is out of date?
I think that would sort out tons of problems. You can code it in visual c++ or sth like that so that even without .net installed, you can warn the user missing core components. Just my thoughts... Edit: If you don't have time for it, I have spare time for it, PM me and pass me details so that I can try coding something robust to help. but will need more info about what kind of interfaces you'll need. Like the others said, install directx and the visual c++ runtimes. If it's still happening, then do memtest. I had the same problem with faulty RAM. |

It's something I'll consider doing, although if the game is installed properly, and not just copied from another drive, for example, it will install the prerequisites at that time. Thus it shouldn't be a big issue for most new players, only those who backup/restore an old installation manually.
