Default Found a way to get rid of lag

I found a solution to the problem of lags in Meduli and freezes for 5-10 seconds, the setting has lowered the minimum WORLD TEXTURES, now and play with maximum settings, even with the DX10, even on the map almost disappeared lags only when load something whose keep appears a half-second lag Apparently the problem is the large number of houses on the map

Depend on which card you have in your rig, some cards do better on Directx10 than 9, also higher resolution will have an impact on your performance.

The default setting when i first logon, believe it was Dx9 around *1280, my rig didnt like it and everytime i closed the game, it get a error msg that didnt not shutdown properly. So i mess with the settings to Dx10 and 1440x900 resolution along with med textures, it ran fine and shutdown properly.

I got mine set half way on all textures, look fine to me on Directx10, but still lags when entering towns or settlements. Like you said, loading up all those structures is what hampered the performace some. Believe we all get some lagspikes for a sec or two, doesnt matter what machine you have.

If the problems is houses then why not make all player houses preloaded into the client. Maybe update the client once a week or so to reflect new houses created or destroyed. This way you wouldn't have to load 10k houses everytime you cross a node line.

If the houses were already in you client you would only have to load new houses, and recently destroyed houses. Not nearly as much information to process.

If you're getting big stutters going into new areas it's likely one (or both) of two things:
  1. Your texture settings are set too high for the amount of vram on your video card. Unless you have OVER 1GB, don't max them all.
  2. It could be what's called level streaming, loading new parts of the map dynamically. If this is the case the biggest performance improvement you could get would probably be with a SSD
