    I don't want to hear anyone talking about o it was already suggested or trolling about it i will personalty report any and all trolling.
    i made this idea without seeing any thread about it but i will not call it original.

    all suggestions are made by engineer (real time) time to build alone:
    • Carriage 2 days.
    • Floating wood 1 min
    • Fishing boat 2h.
    • Longboats 1.5 day
    • Boat 3 days.
    • War boat 10 days.
    (if not alone than time/number of workers)

    A.Goods Transport Carriages
    used for pulling players and goods there is a portable chest in the back.
    and the number of horses affect how much the chest can take min 2 horses max 6 horses.(just bring a horse near it and press R to add a horse to the carriage(average stats of horse affect speed))
    • the weight that can be placed in chest is calculated by (H*(50k+X))
    • speed is calculated the (MW/(CW + PW+CRW)+Y)
    • Y-average dex and speed influence
    • MW-max weight
    • CW-weight in chest
    • PW-player weight
    • H-number of horses(2min and 6 max)
    • X-the influence of horse/donkey average STR and CON
    • CRW-carriage weight
    max of 4 guys in it.(cant use weapons from there(well maybe bows but bad aim if moving))
    and a carriage for royalty (if you want to do this too would be grate but not needed)

    B. Boats used for transporting and water battles
    water how many good people drowned with full loot on them and how many people found 100000k stuff wreath 100000c a unit but could not transport it because of the limitations of water. i give you a solution.
    boats have been in the world for more than 6000 years(much more) so they existed in nave too.

    types of boats:

    don't disappear with time.
    can be repaired when near land.
    river hart can only hold one war boat.
    can add npc's to it like the keep can.
    hail-casters and catapult are a separate part of the ship and can be placed when the ship is finished.

    new update to the suggestion.

    Npc boats list:

    NPC boats can only be killed if
    1. all npc's on npc boat are killed.
    2. the npc boat is destroyed.
    3. in some cases if the captain is killed(not all).
    once the boat kill requirements are done(1 or/and 3) the npc boat will start to rapidly lose hp like it will be from full hp to 0 in less than 10 min(cool animation) during that time the players can loot the boat inventory. once the boat sinks the mats the boat was made of can be looted by going over the loot with your boat automatically placing it in your boat inv.

    if the boat was destroyed(option 2) than the npc inv maybe lost but some parts of it can still be looted + the mats the ship was made of.

    npc's boats list:
    • Ghost boat (not the same as the boat of the walking dead) the size of a boat but only 1/4 of the hp and 1/8 of the dmg the npcs(ghosts can only be killed by a mage or enchanted sword if it is added in game or fire).
    • Boat of the walking dead(the grave npcs stuff+captain(same as king of the dead but deals more dmg))1/2 hp 1/4 dmg of boat more loot than ghost boat.
    • Merchents boat 70% hp of boat 10% dmg form boat if killed by players the ship if flagged red and can not dock on any npc dock(forever or at least a month also stat loss to ship for every kill).
    • Pirate boat (no need for talking about this one) 80% hp 60% dmg more loot than boat of the walking dead.(if captain is killed the other npcs die(drop loot and flee to sea))
    • warloard's boat 80%(tear 2 is 90%(tear 3 120%)) hp of war boat 80 %(tear 2 is 90%(tear 3 120%)) dmg of war boat lots more loot than pirate ship also weapons and other rare stuff.
    • Little-Billy(the sea monster the size of a keep(keep walls)(well at least the middle part is the size of a keep(keep walls))) 300% dmg 500% hp of war boat but slow in its attacks and can be dodged(and escaped from).
    this also adds the need to get mo mp form 64km^2 (8x8) to 100km^2(10x10) and add a few islands and at least 2 new sea keep spots.
    additional npc:
    Mermaids(at least 2 types passive and aggressive also a queen) and sea birds+extra fish need to be added too.
    the loot form killing npc boats can be used to repair your own ship.

    new update all boats except fishing boats can have hocks for taking over other ships(pulling the 2 together).

    I like, tho since its the classical\roman age, imstead of cannpns, it should use hailcasters, manganons and archers" fire, cannons fpr boats came around 1400s, i think game is set equally as 500 bc or 100ad something like that

    yea i thought so but archer fire arrows aren't added in game yet.(i made a suggestion about it already a month or two ago)
    well the idea was to have some sort of weapon for attacking/defending from another boat.
     
  4. Plate armour means we're talking at least 12th / 13th century equivalent, but I agree there shouldn't be cannons.

    I'm very fond of the idea of implementing boats and increased water content. I didnt think of boats being useable as houses and I think with the right implementation that could be a great idea. Being able to live at sea would be awesome. Would like to see incentives for people to dock from time to time though such as trade and individual banking to stop the onboard chest becoming too full.

    Maximum carry weight should be affected by the strength stat of the horse, voted i am an agent.

    true but look at the building arquitecture, the technology other than plate armor, it all makes me feel like nave is made up of Vikings, Romans, Japanese Clans, African Tribes, and other species, look at the clothing not only players have but NPCs, thay all look classical age-ish , besides, plate armor isnt that far technologicly.

    i removed the cannons and replaced them with catapults and hail casters(also fire arrows if they get added one day) so there is no reason to fight over this (gun powder should already exist in nave)

    some of you don't have the time to or don't want to read all text so i ask in short:

    what do you guys think about the part about using War Boats as Guild House and using Boats as Guild houses/just house(not really like a house but with similar)

    war boat how to build vote for A, B , C or D

    A.to build a War boat you need to ether have a guild or place the guild stone as mat for building one(the guild needs to have 5+ members(acc's)).

    B. you cant build War boat if you don't use Guild stone as mat and if the guild stone is removed the boat starts losing % HP per hour(cant be repaired if the guild stone isn't replaced).

    C. anyone can build one but need help to move it min 5 men on it.

    D. anyone can build one but need help to move it min 5 men on it but the boat also does not have ownership so anyone can steal it.

    all of them can have NPC's as staff of boat.

    you cant have a War boat solo(you need guild or a few friend to have one and move it).
    you still can have boat solo(recommend having friend and guild with this too).
    you don't need keep to build a War boat actually in suggestion B you cant if you have keep.
    the restrictions are only for War boats you can make as many boats as you wish. (max of one(1) war boat per guild)(need to have 5 men on board to move war boat.(maybe 10 is better but there would be too much zerging needed))

    also sorry for any errors in writing it is really a big text.
     
  12. I dont think you should need a guildstone to build certain boats, you should just have the ability to place a guildstone in one to make it the guild "house".

    I dont want boats to be uncapturable but I certainly dont want the DF system of de-spawning them. Unfortunately, because of that I can think of no way to make it work, currently. Maybe make "docked" boats uncapturable? ie as long as theyre anchored at port they cannot be stolen (can still be boarded though), but as soon as the anchor is raised they can be boarded/captured/destroyed?

    I also agree that the bigger the boat the more people it needs manning it. Not sure how the mechanics should work regarding this atm though.

    well you cant let a single man make a whole war boat without a actual war. so guild-stone as mat so the war boat needs to be of some guild.

    yes if docked it cant be captured/stolen/destroyed.

    i will think of a way for it not to be permanent-docked later.
     
  14. Of course you can build war boats without a war...guild stone should not be a requirement, but if placed in a boat it should provide a benefit of some kind other than just storage to set it apart from other normal war boats.

    If we go with your idea then it means no land-based guild will be able to build ships that compare with sea-based guilds because they wont have a guildstone to place in it as they will already be using one.

    this is the point^^
    but they can still make normal boats.

    but ok i remade the idea a bit so it looks like this.

    there are no restrictions to making boats(can be used as house and guild house) and fishing boats(except the money need and skilled player to make it).

    restrictions/benefits to build a war boat.

    how to build a guild war boat.

    a guild war boat has 50% more hp than a normal war boat also needs 100% more material to build.
    to build you need to place the war boat at sea or river heart(max of two in river heart)
    to build a guild war boat you need to place either a guild stone or a guild ownership recipient(can be bought by keep npc or town npc of course to buy it you need to already have a guild and be its guild master(min of 10 members(error massage your guild is too small to have a war boat)))
    there are other benefits to this like extra expansions and table spaces and extra npc's.
    guild war boats are ownership of the guild and if guild house is destroyed than the ship becomes the new guild house(automatically).
    extra benefits if built with guild stone(more hp and DIF and +).(because it is their home and you already have a guild on land)

    if you don't place guild stone or a guild ownership recipient than it is a normal war boat.

    all boats lose hp if not under repair every few days in dock.

    as for how will it not be permanent-docked there is a cost for docked ships made by the dock owner(player built) or TC guild if npc town(meduli toxai ...).(50g or more a week for guild war boat default and 20g for normal war boat 15g for boat and 1g for fisherman's boat)(the cost resets if you leave the dock)

    (if player built npcs spawn when a player dock is made (pre-set locations for docks OC) like vendors, fisherman....depends on location. also there aren't 2 of the same docks like the keeps are now).

    boats and war boats can not be distroyed by land weapons but only with other boats

    Dont forget to add Biremes and Triremes since thats the kind of ships u can actually see in the Tindrem photo.
