    "Greetings citizens of Nave,

Today we will be releasing information regarding our new Envoy Program. Now please don’t assume, “oh no, another program that is not going to do anything but remove my posts!” This program is not for moderation or in-game support, but support for the players, the community, and Starvault.
We're a team comprised of players who care about this game and we only wish it to successfuly progress further. We have heard your cries and we have cried the same tears. We have felt your pain and your agony of not being heard and we want you to know that you have been heard.
We are the voice of the community. You can bring us your concerns and we will make them known. For the power of a community lies not only with a small handful but the whole of the community and we will listen to your needs and represent you. We will do everything within our power to get those concerns addressed or to get them addressed by SV. We will be working directly with SV to help get you responses on issues you care about without over burdening them. However, you will have to work with us while we assist you with these issues as change requires time.
We are part of Starvault, the eyes, ears, and mouth. Our role to Starvault is to let them know how the community feels about everything related to Mortal Online, to bring them to terms on how the community feels MO should be handled and addressed, and find a common ground. Thus ensuring game balance and community unity by listening and responding to any organization‘s true power, the power of the people, the power of you, the community.
Our team will be transparent to ensure everything progresses in a calm manner. We will remain active and maintain an active role in the community for we are, like you all, a part of the community. We will do our best to maintain that transparency, gathering questions and receiving answers to inform the community. While we may not be able to release everything we hear and know, we will do our best to show you how SV came to answering your concerns.
    With Regards,

    Your Envoy Team."

I assume its pretty much what Theia is doing only now he got some helpers and he is the Big Boss!

Great idea, can people apply for this? or will people randomly be selected? how can you be part of this programm?

Anyone got any concerns or comments about this?

I think its a cool idea the community can voice there opinions to someone and hopefully get a change.

Definitely read this as "ENVY" instead of "ENVOY" at first

This is something under discussion, it would only be fair to give people a chance to apply for it. Currently we were hand selected, but in the future as we may need to increase our numbers we'll look at different methods of gaining new envoys.

I aim to have the other two envoys either in IRC tomorrow, or in a thread on these forums to do an Ask us Anything. Giving you all a chance to know us a bit better, and maybe how we feel about different issues.

awsome, i think something like this is really needed.
there has been many concern by players but the lack to communicate these problems was always hard.
for a vet. like me who is on the forum and irc almost 24/7 and knowing the GMs/Mods it wouldnt be that hard to contact someone, however i always felt that the GM or Mod might be listining, i was never sure if it got to the people who handle all this. Its great to have such a program and helping out Theia.

Knowing this programm is there for the Community and to keep the community updated with the risen concerns it can only help make the community grow and help SV to get bigger and more successfull in there doing.

A huge battle on the mountain tops of jungle camp. Including dragon's minotours and evry player on the server ensued who was going too be the 3 envoy's you werent there branflakes?

Ot; This is an great idea.

    Sure thing,

We were simply selected based on our past experiences, and how different we are from each other. Making the team we aimed to have different personalities to help relate with the community, and different backgrounds. Of course each of us has been around for awhile though, and has suffered through with you all. Although our own personal opinions is something we're going to shy away from. When submitting an issue we're going to be including sources(your forum posts, internal and external)

If I was I would be one of the three of course =)

I do like how they hand picked you 3 at least instead of turning it into a popularity contest. I hope that after 20+ months subbed and active that I can keep up. He he

We're just at kick-off and as said above once we have the governance in place we will be looking to swell our ranks. We're splitting between internal (eyes and ears on our forums, IRC etc) and external, so we can hit as many sites that talk about MMO and Sandbox as possible. You will shortly start to see a surge in external comms and comps as we try to publicise Awakening and MO in general. This is important, we know we have the support of the community and will be drawing help from wherever it's available.

From my perspective it is a huge relief to get this additional help - we're much stronger as a team than an individual!

    From another thread.

This sort of thing is suggested time and time again. It is now in your hands to be the connection between the suggestion forum and the developers. Maybe some polls, community meetings/discussions, or digging by the envoys could help steer this new program in the right direction. I really hope to see the envoys be proactive.

We've talked about our role as it pertains to passively gaining information, and doing it actively. So for example if we want to gain information on how players would do events we may do a event, a competition to make the best player-run-mini event.

For example a player may try to organize a horse race, a pvp event, a 'best thief' event, etc. The possibilities are endless. And we would provide some incentive after(likely to the competition winner) and in some cases minimal help during the mini-events.

This would tap into the creativity of our community, while also gaining insight as to what they like and hate about events.

Quick insight into town invasion events. Random mobs spawning for a bit (wolves, spiders, etc) is fun if profitable. Full on invasions (Risars, undead, spiders) very fun, but only if followed up by an appropriate boss that we always hope is a GM controlled butt kicker.

We had a Risar invasion with a few commanders followed up by a GM player attacking us which was great fun, but if similar events happen the rewards should stay consistent and not change town to town so there is no feeling of unfairness.

....a slow spell? that would ruin pvp.
thankfully, the idea of adding it into the game is considered laughable by Starvault.

Yep, can't see it myself either, although I would like to see an AOE heal that requires the Mage to walk. Would make for until tactics methinks! Just a thought, Magic update is obviously post-Awakening so we'll see when we get there..

This is not sandboxy at all. An invasion to me doesn't sound like a loot party, it sounds like fight it back or suffer the consequences. I am hoping that with the introduction of new items, properties, factions, and benefits to be gained these "disastrous" events are something to be feared and dealt with and not some loot orgy. I also think the idea of custom loot tables where GMs just drop a bunch of goodies into an npc is completely opposite of what this game is supposed to stand for and hope realistic loot tables are drawn up for every type of npc, so if a GM decides to spawn a rare of a certain type they can just up the chances of hitting a rare in the loot tables.

I really can't get over that attitude displayed in your post. Consistent and fair rewards across the board? Next I will hear "Gee you better make the good gear purchasable from these marks of frost Ive collected, as I don't have the luxury of luck and thats not fair"

These new events are nothing like the original Risar invasion
Saying that out loud is weird though

    No.

Didn't read this the first time through. Wow. I hope you aren't serious.
Like Heretix said, this isn't so much a game about loot as it should be consequences. I personally would love to see that if the server didn't muster enough defenders, Risars would completely take over a town until the players decided to rise up.
