Forsaken and the Darkspire Event

    All,
Forsaken takes great pride in the fact that we have not now, and will not ever, supply Siege weaponry to any other Guild for warfare purposes. We have today, though, complied with a request from AQ for a Catapult for use at the Meduli Darkspire Event. We wish all the land to be free of this menace and hope our small contribution will help destroy this Evil that has invaded Myrland.

    Thank you,
    The Forsaken Council

Taking up the Evils of Umbra is the worst decision you have ever made.

The Justice of Paladine the Great will be swift and decisive, clean and powerful.

Any supporters or guilds in league with the Evils of Anquer Quare the New or of Umbra will be cleansed from the lands.

Only way to save your foolishness will be to officially declare your forsaking of Anquer Quare and Umbra forever. You will not have any dealings with them, or by my hand, Paladines Justice will commence.

Heed my words, it might be the last you ever hear.....

Well since the guild controlling Meduli was trying to strongarm everyone there into paying them 20g each or they wouldn't place a catapult and defend their town, someone had to do it. Good on you Forsaken for providing the catapult since nobody else would man up.

    wow! lol

I had cata deed in my bank which I planned to use, but putting 350g up on my own is bull when it might not even work. Asking 15 people, mainly koto and wsx, to chip in 20g each was perfectly reasonable..

But.. No one did and I ended up using the deed anyway.. get your facts straight :p

    The other catapults came later

    Sir Knight,
Forsaken does not worship the Old God Umbra. Our motivations are purely that of Commerce and Trade. These motivations are bound to us by the words within The Great Contract and thus require us to protect our trading interests as we deem the need. Had an Army of Knights of the Realm made the same request as these Umbra Followers then we would have, also, been honored to help. They did not come forward to protect the land and allowed this Evil Darkspire to continue to spew its undead. I hope next time we have the opportunity to serve the Knighthood.
    Safe Trades to you Sir.

You bring forth a good arguement, I will honor your neutrality and let this pass.
But just as a friendly warning if any Knight or group of Knights encounter followers of Umbra while you are trading with them, the safety of the traders might get dangerous and so they might get attacked and killed.

Other than that I will say that members of Forsaken will be safe from persecution from the Order and wont have any need to fear any Knights they encounter on their travels.

Thank you for explaining the situation further and since its purpose was for good I can look past it.

    Yours truely,
ThaBadMan, Grand Knight of the Realm.

Fair words, sir knight. Though bear in mind that traders of Forsaken are often not without protection. Should our caravans be attacked, our guardsmen will mercilessly slay any and all who threaten the safety of our valuables. Furthermore, such aggressive action against our merchants will be viewed with the utmost disdain, and will damage relations. Needless to say, our merchants do not willingly trade with those who have sought to do them harm.

May the winds blow ever in thy favor,

I understand and hope relations will remain good between the Order and Forsaken. You are allowed to protect yourselves so I have no problem with it. Lets just hope the scenario does not reveal itself ;)

    Yours aswell :D

Heed not the false words of these would be knights, Great traders of Forsaken. Unlike these close minded cultists of Paladine we seek oppertunity where ever it may lay, whether it be in the shadows or light. Fine traders such as yourselves surely understand this.
  19. Sparhawk13 Junior Member

Indeed. We seek not light, nor shadow. Rather, we go where the promise of fortune leads us.

You come from an unfortunate lineage, good fellow. May thy offspring be more fortunate than thou.

Alas it be known that forsaken is driven by greed. I believe if thee forsaken had a god, it would be Avernus the Demigod of Thieves.
