I need help my lovely friends. There is a deal on amazon. 17€ total for all the 4 volumes of GoT. But they are in english. How's the language on the books? Is it very hard to read. The only complete books I've read in english are the latest Harry Potter book and Terry Pratchett's Nightwatch. I wonder if I should just find them translated or buy the english ones. Meh. The offer ends in couple minutes. I'll just get them from library or something when I want to read them.
It will take you 3 to 4 chapters to grasp the level of English used by Martin, but a basic understanding of English will suffice. He might use strange/old words like mayhaps and others, but you'll encounter them enough times to know what they mean. Only a few jargon-type words he uses to describe a castle/character might suprise you at times.
