If you have any old stacks of the following resources: Sulfur, Coke, Calx Powder, Calamine, Ichor. You will see that they have been renamed with word "Old" added. These resources can no longer be used in game, and you will need to get them replaced with new stacks by sending a petition in game and ask for a GM.
Really? Omg, you get much work! All the mages for example have Sulfur, Calamine and Ichor in lots of storages all over the world. You will receive thousands of replacement petitions during the next year!
Can you please make clear, what items you mean? I just checked the first two storages and found no OLD item. Do you mean "very old" items only, maybe pre-Dawn?
This wont affect that many players. These resources are very old, but are still in the system, and some old returning players might still have them in their banks. So we just wanted to rename them so players could tell them apart from the other stacks, instead of trying to use a resource that does no longer work and thinking its a bug.
I had some of these items. Basically they was the odd stacks of stuff that would no longer stack with my newer stuff.
But why can't you run a automatic item conversion on your database? This would make replacement very simple for the players and for your GMs. Found my first storage with old items, and now I know I have more in other storages.
First character finished the round trip with exchanges in four storages, but I needed 1 1/2 hours for the trip. Thanx to the GM, always changed after 1-5 minutes of waiting. But one more character to go on the storage trip...
If they aren't named old, they are good to use. And there is no hurry here, you don't have to run around and check all your storages, its just a clarification why some resources have been renamed. And that you can get them replaced by sending a petition.
I might have some sitting in a storage somewhere. So say I check my storage 2 RL years from now, will a GM still be able to replace it?
I'm keeping these untouched, if someday there's a rare market like there was in UO, I'm going to be rich !
Actually I found that there's 3 type of 'same' items now: One named (OLD), a medium old one with the regular name but not stacking with the currenty types, and a current one. And according to ingame staff, we'll not get the medium old replaced to save on stack numbers. On the other hand, I wonder why they didn't just round up a small script to automatically replace these old/unstackable items. This must have some truly curious reasons...
Well I don't know if it's the same here in MortalOnline, but in Ultima Online whenever a change like this occurred (One which resulted in an item that can no longer be obtained) the clever folks would stockpile the old/illegal/unavailable item and sell it for mega MEGA bucks in the future. But I don't know if you have collectables in this game, especially since dropping something on the floor destroys it so you can't exactly put it on display in your house.
Not working in MO usually since there's no way to display your items e.g. at your house like in UO due to lack of placable items in your house. Also, people here rarely care for decoration but functionality rather since everything can be stolen or lost, unless it's in your bank.
