Internet is unstable, need help!

Hello everyone!

A few days ago the electricity in my house went out I believe it was the oven that was the cause as the 20Ampere stick was broke so i switched it and started up the electricity again.. Electricity worked after that.

Now I have problems with internet being unstable.


For example when I am playing Darkfall my Out can go so low I eventually disconnect from the server

Following are a few pictures showing me pinging the Darkfall EU, NA servers also Google. Togheter with a picture from ingame demonstrating the Out going really low it should be around 1000.

Another thing that is worth to mention is that the modem for the telehpone (not involved to the ethernet as I have fiber also died and had to be replaced).

You should really stop playing Darkfall.

It sounds like your DSL splitter/filter may have broke from the overload, so you should check up on that.

Edit: Just skimmed it the first time; you have fiber, so that won't help you at all.

It's probably because darkfall is bad.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

When that happens to me I usually call my ISP provider and shout at them. That seems to help.

And you are really smart asking on a forum about fixing your unstable internet after a electricity shortage. God damnit.

Froxer the issue more than likely lies with damage done to the router\switch caused by the surge. You have already seen other devices effected. I work in the software industry and have seen this type of issue before, so you need to try another router\switch and see if your speeds are normal
